Hi everyone! I’m Stephanie from Somewhat Simple and today I’m sharing my favorite Christmas cookie recipe and a cute way to wrap them them up to give as gifts.

I found THIS recipe { chocolate pumpkin cookies } from Martha Stewart. I am not a fan of pumpkin pie, but I love a good pumpkin cookie, and since I am not a fantastic baker, the fact that Martha includes these on her list of “Our Easiest Cookie Recipes” made me not so intimidated to try it!

I follow her recipe exactly and they are super yummy! Chocolate pumpkin cookies are easy to make- and again, I am not a baker! If I could do it, so can you! See how good they look:

…and they taste even better. (I’ve had probably 10- no joke.)

Since this recipe made so many cookies, I decided eventhough I probably could eat them all, it would be best for my waistline to give some away as gifts. So after they set in the refrigerator for 20 minutes and the chocolate hardened, I put them in cute little jars and added some ribbon. This was a cuter alternative to the normal plate wrapped in celophane, right?

This idea could really be for anyone- teachers, coaches, neighbors, visiting teaching gifts etc.
