First off As a Smart and Finals Smartie member I get to review some of their newest and best products. I recently got to review the La Romanella line and it did not disappoint. I’m excited to add a this new recipe for linguine {{creamy linguine…mmmm}} to my recipe box. My husband and I both agreed these noodles were the best we had ever tasted. They were so soft and tasted better than homemade! I could have eaten them with butter and been happy as a bird with a french fry! :)
For this recipe I decided to use the La Romanella Linguine Noodles {{amazing}} and the roasted garlic sauce. I liked the taste of the roasted garlic, but for this recipe I think I would stick to a traditional sauce next time I make it.
Ingredients
- 1 bag of La Romenella Linguine Pasta
- 1 jar of La Romenella Pasta sauce
- 1/2 cup of cooking cream (cream cheese)
- 1/2 cup of Italian blended cheese
- 1 clove of garlic
- Italian Seasoning to taste
Instructions
- Boil Pasta for 7-10 minutes.
- In a large pan cook your garlic for a minute or so over medium heat.
- Pour in Pasta sauce, cooking cream and cheese.
- Add Italian Seasoning to taste and simmer for 5-10 minutes.
- Pour sauce over noodles and enjoy!! YUM!!
For the Cheesey Artichoke Bread I bought a loaf of french bread (mmm french bread)! I cut the loaf in half and spread with lots of butter a little mayo and sprinkled with garlic powder. Then I mashed up about 1/2 cup of La Romenalla artichoke hearts and spread over the top. Last, I topped it with LOTS of Italian cheese (mozzarella, parmesan …). Then bake in the oven at 425 for 10 minutes. Mmm… I love cheesey bread!! So not healthy… but fun to make every once in awhile!

I am VERY picky about my spaghetti, there is one restaurant about an hour away that I will eat their spaghetti. Growing up we ate there every Saturday so that is what I think of when I think spaghetti. I recently made a meal using bowtie noodles and sauce, this was the first time I actually LOVED a meal I made…here it is http://www.kalynernest.com/2011/10/tutorial-tuesday-crispy-chicken-pasta.html

Anything creamy definitely is going in my recipe book! And you’re right – the linguine noodles are great – one of my family’s favorites!

I made a recipe with linguine and sauce too. I think next time I will make the sauce creamy like you did.
Yours looks YUMMY!

This looks yummy! I’ve never though of putting cream cheese in red sauce before – but it seems like a great addition. I also like the idea of using the artichoke hearts as a bread topping – very creative!

I really like the idea of adding the cream cheese to the pasta sauce! I have to try that. Thanks for the inspiration!
