By Marie of Blooming Homestead for I Heart Nap Time.

Hello I Heart Nap Time Readers, it’s Marie from Blooming Homestead here to share a fun DIY Anthro Inspired Pillow. If you’re like me, you tend to want to update and change things up throughout the year.  Pillow covers are the perfect alternative for changing things up in an affordable way. I found a fun pillow at Anthropologie that I just love and it inspired me to update one of my old gray pillow covers. I love this easy no-sew option!

Supplies:

  • Pillow Cover or pillow
  • Tassle Trim
  • Glue gun & glue sticks
  • Scissors
  • Cardboard

First off, put a piece of cardboard inside the pillow cover to make sure that the hot glue doesn’t glue the pillow cover onto itself.

Next off, grab your trim, plug in your glue gun and get gluing! I used a back and forth technique to glue the trim on in 4 different sections. You can add as much trim as you like, I thought 3 rows in each “section” worked perfectly.

And that’s it, a perfectly cute knock-off pillow. :) I just love how it turned out…and I love how it cost me less than $10!

Hello! I am Marie from Blooming Homestead and I have a passion for all things crafty, this includes home decorating, organization, digital design, DIY, and cooking yummy comfort food! As a recent first time home buyer, I enjoy making our house into a home while sticking to a budget (gotta love those student loans!) This usually requires me to think outside the box and get creative. I love sharing my tutorials and projects in hopes that I can inspire others. When I am not crafting, I like to read, shop, watch movies, and visit with family & friends. Most importantly, I love spending time with my husband of 11 years and our little boy who is growing up way too fast.
