DIY Body Wrap – Lose up to 1 inch over night!

Today on the blog we have a DIY Body wrap tutorial! Thanks for stopping by! To get our newest post make sure to subscribe or like us on facebook or pinterest.

Hello Sweeties! This is T.J. from Sugar Blossoms and I’m so excited to be here today to share this DIY body wrap with you! School is out and I’m ready for summer but I have a problem: I don’t like how I look in a bathing suit. I’ve been working on losing weight but the fact that I’ve had 3 children has left me with a less-than-stellar stomach . . . if ya know what I mean.

Today I’m bringing you a wallet-friendly version of body wraps. I’ve been seeing these around the internet lately and mentioned them to a friend. She’s from Mexico and said she’s been doing those for years, just not the commercialized type. I tried it one night and lost .5 inches on my gut overnight! These wraps are great for when you need a quick fix for a wedding or beach trip! Of course eating and healthy and exercising is the best way to lose weight!

DIY Body Wrap on I Heart Nap Time ... lose up to 1-2 inches overnight!

Here’s her “secret recipe” for DIY Body Wrapping. You only need 3 things:

DIY body wrap supplies

  • Lotion (it’s best if it contains something from the ocean: seaweed, kelp, mud. I couldn’t find any, so I just used what I had on-hand.)
  • Clear plastic wrap
  • Bandage wrapDIY Body Wrap on I Heart Nap Time ... lose up to 1-2 inches overnight!

It’s a simple process!

Step 1 – Apply a thick layer of lotion to the area you want to target. {Don’t rub it in completely!} You can do it on your stomach, your thighs, your upper arms, wherever your “trouble spots” are.

Step 2 – Wrap the ENTIRE area with your plastic wrap. I went all the way around my mid-section several times. Make it snug but not tight; you do have to wear it ALL night long.

Step 3 – Now wrap the area with a long bandage of some kind, anything that will keep your wrap in place. Be sure to cover the plastic completely.

Secure it well and you’re ready to hit the sack!

The idea behind this is to help your body release water that’s retained due to weather, food consumption; even Mother Nature’s visits. The combination of lotion and plastic helps sweat it out of you.
I’ve only tried it once but I LOVED the result! Maybe a little something to help get you swimsuit ready. Let me know how it goes for you!

  1. I sell the It Works wraps themselves and I’m curious about these wraps! I LOVE my wraps and have been blown away by their results but I am always interested in learning more!!! How long do they last? Thank you!!

    1. Awesome! I’ve heard amazing things about those but I’m CHEAP! =)
You can re-use the lotion and bandage for sure; possibly the plastic wrap, if you’re careful. =)

        1. it wont last if you are not eating right. Clean eating or maintain a healthy diet and exercise.

        2. The wraps will not work unless you exercise and eat properly, it’s a waste of $$ Plastic wrap and hemorrhoid cream works 10 times better but like I said unless you eat properly and exercise Don’t do either…

    2. I also sell the it works wraps. While this may work, this is different from it works bc our wraps do not help you lose water weight, only tone, tighten & firm.

      1. I used Jergens skin Firming Lotion and added some essential oils like Pink Grapefruit, Frankincense, & Lemongrass etc shook it really well applied, plastic wrapped from the neck down & then slipped into a full body girdle… Got up the next day & measured… I was thrilled! Lost a min of a inch everywhere I measured.

      1. If you’re using plain lotion that you have on hand, do you think you could add in Sea Salt to get that “from the sea” touch? Looking forward to trying this tonight!!

      2. I sell a high end mineral skin care products from the dead sea. And we have a amazing mud lotion and dead sea body butters if interested contact me at [email protected] and I will give you more details I tried it with the body butter and not only did I lose 2 inches but my skin felt amazing the next day. :)!!

  2. I’ve heard there are dangers in using plastic against the skin like this with open pores…do you know if that is true or not?

      1. I make my own wrap by first applying a cellulite get with Q-10 then boiling a few cups of water with a cup of sea salt and a small bottle of vitamin E oil. I soak my ace bandages in the mixture and wrap tightly. Then I go over that with cling wrap. Leave it on for 1-2 hours and you will see results immediately, but the next day will look even better. It lasts anywhere from 3-5 days. I love it!. You can add all kinds of stuff to the mixture such as tea grounds, chamomile, Rosemary and Ginger to help with fat. Muds and clays are great for skin tone. Menthol is also a good ingredient. But the salt is important as it helps to draw water from the fat cells.

    1. I’ve seen this a few times – the statement that plastic wrap on open pores is cause for concern. Wanted to share my “spiel” I guess. Maybe it will help. 🙂 I have plaque psoriasis on my elbows/arms. I was diagnosed at 7 years old. Around 12 is when I began to develop it on my arms. At which point my doctor recommended occlusion dressings. This is to apply the medicine on the individual spots and then wrap in plastic wrap and go to bed. It completely treats the spots down to bare, healthy skin so of course I have kept this up over the years. Each doctor I’ve seen has said that I’m good to go. I do this about 2-3 times a week with no cause for concern.

I figure if you only wrap yourself once a month you’re definitely alright!

      1. My guess would be people are concerned about the chemicals in plastic getting in to your system. Personally I used natural supplements and a plan that is a gentle detox and lost 4 pounds and 16 inches in my core in 8 days! Plus I’m adding valuable nutrients to my body to supplement what we can’t get from even good foods anymore (basically an apple today is nutritionally different than it was 50 years ago due to soil depletion and of course toxins). http://www.igniteyourbodyandsoul.com

      2. My dad has very chronic psoriasis for 40 yrs now we have tried so many the things, yes they work for a lil while but it’s d gotten to the point that nothing is working right now, please share any of your diy that has worked? Desperately seeking some solutions!!!

        1. I have psoriasis. When I was 12 it had covered my body, to the point that I had to wear pants & hoodies during the summer, in Texas.. Not a good combination! The only thing that I have found to work for my psoriasis is tanning. Something about the tanning bed helps, I don’t know what it is but I’ve seen amazing results! Now the only place I have it is my scalp. I’m 18 & in the past 6 years, I’ve found nothing that works for my scalp. If anyone knows anything about getting rid of psoriasis on your scalp, please help. If it’s on your body, invest in a tanning bed. I’d rather have leather skin than big red, itchy patches!

          1. The UVB light from tanning helps increase vitamin D intake, which helps your psoriasis. That’s why sun is good for your psoriasis – vitamin D is the sunshine vitamin.

As for your scalp, my dermatologist recommended nisoral shampoo (made for dandruff). I’ve also tried herbal psoriasis shampoo from drug stores and health food stores which help. I have tar soaps and natural soaps I use on my hands that might also help the scalp. And medication! I have psoriasis and I’m a nurse.

          2. Try warm tea tree oil. That helps my scalp eczema! You can find it at Walgreens or Walmart. Try asking your doctor about a steroid shampoo, a friend of mine has a prescribed one that helps her scalp eczema.

          3. There is some concern about using tanning beds with reagrds to cancer etc but you can get vitamin d creams which i’ve used on my skin a couple of times and that might help 😉

          4. I have suffered from psoriasis and bad acne/acne scars and I am telling you, RED LIGHT THERAPY! It works wonders. Very good for aging, scars, acne, lines, pores, you name it. Read up on it, it’s available at most tanning salons. It’s a tanning bed, but with red light 😉 and its actually very VERY good for your skin unlike tanning. I used to tan before I found out about red light therapy.

      3. My 10-yr-old has had terrible skin most of his life. We have tried every lotion out there. They worked for a short period of time and then nothing. I recently started with a new company, Radiantly You – all-natural/organic beauty, family and cleaning products. My son has been using the dead sea mud bar soap and healing calendula faithfully every night before going to bed. His skin has finally cleared up.
I am going to try this “wrap” with our dead sea whipped face wash.

    2. When I got my first tattoo the artist wrapped most of my back in plastic wrap and I fell asleep with it. The next morning I had a crazy rash from the skin not being able to breathe. I think it depends on your skin.

      1. I have several tattoos and would have to agree that the plastic wrap could irritate your skin but you are supposed to wash your tattoo after a few hours because your skin is irritated and dirty with blood and ink. So I would agree and disagree. I think it really would depend on skin type.

        1. You aren’t supposed to leave plastic wrap or bandages on tattoo for long periods of time. I rarely leave my tattoos wrapped up for 30 minutes. The main reason they do it is to protect it from irritants or anything that you might rub it on. But I’ve been told by reputable artists that bandages aren’t really necessary.

          1. As a tattoo artist myself….you think that after 30 minutes you’re not susceptible to anything getting in that open wound? Keeping it protected overnight is what I recommend to my clients.

And, I don’t just suggest things to my clients without experimenting myself, first. I have tried both taking the bandage off quickly after getting tattooed (30 minutes to an hour or two after) as well as leaving it on overnight. Healing has always been much more efficient and happy leaving it on overnight. It’s extremely important to remember that it is an open wound, and is susceptible to infection if not properly protected.

Carry on doing what you do, it’s up to you…but I hate seeing people who are NOT tattoo artists giving out aftercare advice.

          2. Theres actually a new product out that is a seran wrap-like tape that is applied immediately on a fresh tattoo and left on for 3 days. Whatever is on it with its seal makes it heal completely. It’s amazing but begins to stink the second day.

      1. I see it’s been a year since you posted this. Is it still working for you? How many times a week can I do it? I need my bikini body back!

  3. So I tried this a couple of days ago and lost an inch exactly on my tummy 🙂 Last night I thought I would try my thighs and no such luck. So tonight back to the tummy and see what happens. But it was nice to know that it actually did work.

    1. Hey JoXa… I sell the It Works wraps and I’ve wrapped plenty of tummies and thighs since I started about 6 months ago… I haven’t tried this lotion trick but I know that with our wraps we’ve been told that the skin on the thighs is much tougher than tummy skin so it takes longer to penetrate and absorb the lotions into the skin! Like I said… not sure it’ll work on this trick but it’s worth a shot huh? Good luck to ya! My thighs are totally my trouble spot! lol

      1. Hey I just wanted to add some extra info for the thies, a new step 1 take a 15 minute bath in epsom salts hot as you can stand it and then just lightly towel drying then use your lotion and it does penetrate the skin, then your wrap this works as a whole so go with this first and the results will or should be better for you guys

  4. How often should you do this? Are we talking, you could do it every night for a week? Or more like once or twice per week? Thanks!

  5. The other day I just used Saran Wrap on my tummy and took a 15 minute walk.. In the middle of June.. In Louisiana. I sweated like a goose! It took half an inch off. Next time, I will try a lotion. Thanks for this advice!

    1. @Shannah: That might have seemed like an efficient way to lose weight, but wraps are meant to make you lose water weight. They don’t help you tone your body. Stay hydrated and good luck!

    1. I use the gut sucker panties from victorias secret… they have the leg and high waisted combo, i bought three kinds for my wedding and never thought they would come in handy again but here i am and they work way better than ace bandages because those didn’t stay in place for me either. I suggest gut sucking panties or the slip version too. Best of luck! Love the blog!

  6. Hi! How often can you do this?? I’ve been looking into being a distributor for It Works! but it’s just so expensive. Thanks 🙂

    1. did it last night and lost an inch! LOVE THIS! i used a cupid brand girdle from wal-mart and it worked like a charm! Thanks!!!!

  7. Hi! I did this last night, and it worked wonderfully! I was just wondering, how often is it safe to do them? I really want to do another wrap, they’re great!

  8. did this last night and i think i notice a difference & it was so cheap and easy to do ! thanks!

  9. When I wake up in the morning my stomach is automatically flatter than when i went to bed because your body digests your food and naturally flattens.. so idk if I’m all that convinced.

      1. Why not try doing the wrap on Saturday morning and then see the results on Sunday. It might eliminate the digestion factor

    1. I agree with you, Ashley. This is such a crock. Forcing one part of your body to sweat out some water weight doesn’t really count as weight loss.

      1. Ya it just seems kind of lame that everyone will just sweat in their sleep instead of sweat from exercise and eating healthy which will actually produce real and lasting results if it is kept up. hmm

        1. I think only using this technique is more of a quick way to lose inches for a special event or something, but I agree you really do need to pair it with a healthy diet and daily exercise if you want lasting results.

    2. Exactly. And how hard is it to flex the abs for a photo? I have loved iheartnaptime for a long time, but I have just lost a ton of respect. Wraps are a big FAT scam that have no basis in science.

“”It’s all pseudoscientific gobbledygook,” said Dr. Victor Herbert, a doctor at Mt. Sinai Veterans Research Center who is also on the board of Quackwatch, an organization that debunks false medical claims. He says any weight loss that results from getting a body wrap is temporary, because it is water loss.”

  10. This idea still blows me away and they charge out the butt for it at spas and where ever else! I just decided to try your DIY wrap except I used organic coconut oil. Its a natual detox as well as moisturizer so I thought it couldn’t hurt. I hit a bit of a bump and cant get these last 6 lbs off – love a little push.

    1. how did the coconut oil work?! I love the stuff and it seems to be beneficial in every other aspect!

  11. You know I do this too but I use the Nivea cellulite cream and Bengay too and it does work wrap in plastic wrap and a corset .i do it every day and it works

    1. Bengay wrapped can be dangerous !!!! The package warns of this. Speaking from experience and a 4 day hospital stay for my husband.

  12. I absolutely LOVE this!! It works great! I was wanting to try this on my thighs but I wasn’t sure if it would work. Has anyone tried it?

  13. I use spanx to hold my wrap in place and leave it on all night long, Sunday evening once a week.

  14. I just found this on Pinterest and I read through your little description above. I think what you call a “less-than-stellar” stomach is actually a very nice one. You have a lovely stomach, dear. Don’t let anyone (or a wrap) tell you otherwise! 🙂

  15. Do you think that the sweat bands that you wear around your waste during work outs would work to hole the plastic wrap in place?

  16. I too am an It Works Distributor. This wrap is great for water loss. It will come back as soon as you drink your regular water. Our Ultimate Body Applicator has an all natural botanical gel on the cloth. It is designed to shrink the fat cells under the skin and release the bad toxins out of the cells. Bad toxins increase the bodies acidic levels, which can be breeding grounds for disease! Your wrap is great for water loss but if you want to actually get healthy from the inside out, you should try the It Works body wraps and have inch loss that can last 2-6 months! Good luck with your wrapping 😉

    1. Julie have you heard of kangen water? its alkaline water that flushes acidic waste out of your body. it’s the most important water you can drink. check out kangendemo.com and let

    2. The only problem with it works wraps is no one can afford them. Just eat clean and exercise. It’s hard work but worth the effort.

      1. I totally agree with you. There is one distributor here in the Philippines, but he/she is on Pre-Order basis and costs a lot!!

    3. Hi, I’m a fitness trainer and also an It Works Distributor. The wraps we sell are all natural, botanical wraps that are absorbed into the skin. You can’t sweat while wearing these wraps, that clogs your pores…. Which id what lotion does. Our wraps are designed to tighten, tone, firm and reduce the appearance of cellulite and stretch marks. Most people will experience shrinkage during their first wrap. These wraps detox the specific area by helping the body remove toxins in the fat cells. Water helps to flush these toxins out similar to getting a massage. The results are lasting. The lotion wrap is so temporary and it’s just water loss. It works wraps do all the things I just named…. Definitely worth $15 a wrap. Other expensive spas sell similar wraps for $100 or more. We also encourage eating healthy and exercising for three days after wrapping. Most people continue to because they love their results and want to keep them! You get what you pay for!

    4. Jackie, I just ordered some itworks wraps and was wondering if you knew if they are safe to use whole breastfeeding. I read somewhere to wait until babe is weaned as they release toxins in the system that can be released into the breastmilk but have also had a few sites say they were unsure.

      1. No they’re not safe to use while breast feeding. My best friend is a distributer and she hasn’t been able to try the wraps herself yet because she is still breast feeding her baby.

    5. The it works wraps actually did not work for me. i drank 3 bottles of water an hour using them too. No difference

    6. I’ve tried Itworks, and it works temporarily too, so tell me if I’m doing something wrong, because I drink a lot of water and I eat healthy.

  17. My hubby used hemorrhoid cream and wrapped himself in saran wrap the day before he went to MEPS. It really does help you lose inches.

  18. Bentonite is the sea ingredient that your friend means. I’ve done a homemade wrap before with green clay containing Bentonite, and boiled water and sea salt. Doesn’t feel nice to have a dry mask on your skin all night though, going to give this creamy version a try! Thanks!

  19. I was skeptical at first, but then I tried it last it night and it really worked! I definitely noticed a difference in the morning.

  20. Hmm, I love your blog and I think you look great even before the wrap. But I am going to be the negative nelly here and say this can’t really “work.” Have you ever compared the way your belly looks from before bed to when you wake up? My tummy always has this same before and after lol.

  21. I’m trying this tonight! I have been working out for a long time and haven’t seen much results but I used to do those skinny wraps but I just don’t have the money to always be buying wraps. I really hope this works!!

  22. I’ve done this but instead of lotion I used the Bliss “fat girl six pack” lotion stuff. I noticed results right away, I’m going to try it on my legs and arms soon too!

    1. This is a great idea! I use to use a caster oil wrap for pain and detoxing, but never thought to use it for shrinking, I’ll be taking my measurements, Lol! I also sell a dietary/supplement line that works miracles! I lost 2 inches in my thighs and 3 in my baby belly! After twins and a c section!

  23. OOh, I just found your website through yourhairbeauty.com and I am loving this post! I have to try this, I have a slimming/firming cream that I could totally use for this purpose, I will totally give this a try and let you know how it worked for me. Some people even recommend doing this while you work out, so I might try that too.

I am subscribing to your website btw! Love it!

  24. If you sub hemorrhoid cream for the lotion in a thick layer the night before a day at the beach, you’ll get even better results because it pulls the water from your tummy, firming it.

  25. I have done this with Preparation H, unused of course. It works really well, helps with stretch marks and lose skin 😉 Works even better if you where it while you working out!

  26. Hi! I sell the ItWorks! body wraps as well, so I’ve used those tons of times and love them, anyone who has used those and these DIY ones know which gives better results?

  27. Just a thought…. I don’t know about the rest of you, but I am ALWAYS more bloated at night and my stomach always “shrinks” during the night….. so the change in the picture is probably just because everyone’s stomachs get smaller at night because you’re not eating.

  28. I can put lotion on & I sweat without any wrap but will try this & do my detox bath & my natural cleans to detox my body well & then do the lotion and wrap daily while exercising then 3 times week do detox bath. I am diabetic and need to loose weight and strengthen my back. I have a diet and fitness journal with home remedies like vinergar, honey & lemon juice to help cleanse body & help joints & loose weight. Also honey & cinnamon helps your body. I am doing these things to get healthy I I’ll try the wrap but really just need my lotion to sweat.

    1. Also if your trying to lose belly fat try triple l- carnitine liquid or safslim liquid I love the stuff and don’t taste bad

  29. PrepH works by removing fluids. I was told this by a nurse when I reirritated an injury containing scar tissue on my forehead. It was amazing to see my bump go back down! Will definately try PrepH ! Wonder if you could mix it in with the lotion? Hmm!

  30. hey there, i am a bit confused does the plastic goes in first or the bandages bcoz i’ve seeing these body wrap videos a lot n i’ve seen the bandages go in first.
n also can we do body wraps on daily basis for flater stomach ????

  31. ok so I tried this morning I wore it for bout 3 hrs on my tummy and my thighs…I used jergens bb cream which I slotion for celluilite, stretch marks and firming lotion all in one, wrap in saran wrap and then put my belly trimming belt on I usually wear around the house to sweat it off and I took it off I lost half a inch off my thighs and one inch off my tummy!! im going to try it tonite to see if I can make any more progress through the night I had a 36 inch waist and want to get down to maybe a 32 so we will see over the next week or so..

  32. When I did the It Works wrap we had to drink AS MUCH AS WE POSSIBLY could during the 45 min-1 hr treatment. And continue to drink for the next 24 hours. Whenever you detox (get a massage or chiropractic work even) you MUST drink to flush out the toxins you just released. If you don’t drink water, the toxins will linger and make you feel crappy. Gonna try this wrap today though.

  33. So I feel incredibly silly, and very uncomfortable. But I’m trying this right now. I used “Seacret” body lotion, saran wrap, and used waterproof medical tape(yes, I just happened to have quite a bit of medical tape lying around) to hold the saran wrap in place. I’m doing it on both my thighs and my stomach. I’m having to do it while my fiance is at work, because I just KNOW he would laugh at me if he saw me now. But… I’m keeping my fingers crossed. I’ll keep it on for about 4 hours, until I need to shower and pick up my fiance from work. I hope this works! I have breathing problems and can’t go to the gym right now until after I see a doctor next week, but I’m really wanting a better looking tummy! 🙂 4 hours of discomfort would totally be worth an inch off my tummy.

    1. I love using seacret did it work for you? I used the body butter and it did I was thinking about using the salt and oil and doing another treatment

  34. I am also a distributor of It Works! and I’m fascinated by your post, something I definitely may try. One thing I have to say about the wraps by It Works is that aside from losing inches or water weight that isn’t exactly permanent, I love them mostly for a lot of the ingredients in them that lotions don’t always have. The ingredients make my skin much smoother, more refreshed, and it really does tighten my skin which typically stays as long as you keep up healthy habits. I am more about how it helps my skin than the losing water weight thing. Hopefully this represents me as the realist that I am. Only healthy habits and exercise will truly make you lose weight, but I still love so many of the effects of wraps. I still want to try this lotion thing however. If anyone has any questions though or other interesting comments or even other things to try, feel free to email me at “[email protected]

  35. Sounds interesting. Dont waste your money on the “IT WORKS” wraps. Try this instead. The It Works wraps only work for about a week also so save your money. The It Works wraps will show a result but once you stop using them everything goes right back and even worse after use. I was a distributor for awhile and discontinued when I realized I was ripping people off.

    1. I tried the ItWorks Wraps, I call Rip Off, they double charged, refused to return my money, and I DID NOT SEE ANY RESULTS, after the initial inches lost. It costs way to Much money…They say you need to drink lotz of water to see results, I was drinking 8 glasses or more of water, but no more inches came off. I am going to try the lotion and saran wrap and see. at least if it doesn’t work, its not a waste of money. Will be trying this tomorrow.

      1. I tried the It Works wraps, and I did like them. But they were too expensive to really continue use. My friend is a distributer, and wanted me to sign up, but I have always been untrusting of those types of subscriptions where yo get auto charged.

I just put on this diy wrap, using a “firming” lotion that I got at Walgreen’s for $14. It should be enough for at least 2 or 3 more wraps. I hope this works!

  36. so I’m just wondering, this is less money and equivalent to the product it works? this example looks like it really works, and is less money to get great results then spending almost a fortune on other distributors products….. hope someone will reply to help me get the best understanding on how this actually works and the results are permanent and if so I could go out to the drug store and buy this stuff directly tonight :]

    1. Hi Macki! You can get a box of 4 It Works wraps for only $59. That really makes each wrap pretty inexpensive. I use them myself and have had lasting results. Also, right now for new customers if you get a friend to make a purchase you could get a box of 4 wraps for FREE! I help all my customers get lots of free product.

  37. I’m on spring break currently and I tried this to get ready for the summer a little bit and to fit into my prom dress a little more comfortably and this worked out beautifully. I’m even more satisfied with my body with an inch off my stomach! Thanks for the awesome tip!

  38. Can’t wait to try this out! I’ve looked up a few other DIY slimming wraps, and none of them are as simple as this. By “simple”, I mean just needing three things: lotion, plastic wrap, and ace bandages–on livestrong.com, they give you a recipe that uses a few ingredients that I don’t normally carry in my kitchen (kaolin clay, powdered kelp, etc.)

Instead of using ace bandages, though, I’m going to use this neoprene support belt I found. It’s one of those belts sold as a weight loss aid–completely adjustable, and I think will trap heat better than the bandages will (I know I sweat when I wear the belt alone).

  39. Would this work to eliminate “muffin tops”, considering diet and exercise are included in the routine?

  40. Hi! Do you know if coconut oil would work? We use coconut oil for lots of things, we even use it as a lotion. So could I use that instead?

  41. I have tried doing a wrap similar before but the ace bandage always rides up and I wake up in the middle of the night barely able to breathe. Is there a way you are able to keep the bandage in the proper place?

  42. I Just Did Mine Last Night , I Didn’t Have An Ace Bandage So I Used A Scarve , OMG I LOVED MY RESULTS . Almost A Whole INCH Was Gone . I Have To Admit I Was Very Skeptical But This Really Worked , I LOVE IT ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

  43. How long do you usually wear the wrap for. I know it says overnight. But I didn’t know if there was a specific time period.

  44. Just rubbing lotion on your skin then wrapping with Sarah wrap isn’t going to do much. The it works Body wraps anew formulated with skin tightening properties not just shedding water weight and continue to give results for up tip 72 hours!

  45. I’m really looking forward to trying this figured I would try this my cousin just recently used It works body wraps and got so constipated dhe had to go and see her doctor
hoping for great and healthy results.

  46. Omg…is anyone else as concerned as I am that people are buying into this procedure? It sounds like the dumbest thing I have ever heard of in my life…putting lotion and tightly wrapping plastic wrap around yourself will maybe make you look a little lighter for a day…but when you gain it back in water weight and your stomach deflates from being smothered a whole night nothing will have changed. I can’t believe women are this desperate to change their bodies like this overnight! Is anyone, anyone else remotely concerned about this?

    1. well i was told from a boxing trainer that when the boxers had to weigh in and they need to slim down quickly, they used albolene and it would help them lose inches. U can buy albolene at cvs for 11.99 and that with plastic wrap and one of those velcro waist band will have your tummy area saturated with sweat. But remember you will sweating water, so keep yourself hydrated ; )

  47. I’m trying it for the first time tonight! Hope it works and I’m excited for the results!x

  48. I tried this last night and it worked great! I just used regular aloe lotion, since that was all I had, woke up this morning and lost 2 inches off my belly! Just in time to go to the lake today!

    1. I actually do this type of wrap on my abs when every I go to the gym. I do this 5 times a week. It tightens my skin and has helped me to lose inches off my waist.

  49. hi, I read so much goods things about the body wrap n the diff areas it as helped, would like to know if it helps to tone and firm my breast

  50. Hello,I am wondering how long you have been doing this for since you posted this?Is there any good result like a proper flat stomach?or anything? And does it really matter if you don’t use the lotion that has something out of the sea?:)Hope you get back to me soon:)

  51. I will be honest I get lazy about exercising! But if I just eat right will the results stay? I just don’t want to have to do this over and over again for my entire life. Thanks so much!

  52. Hello I am reading everything about this n all I am seeing is good things but I have a question. Are suppose to do this everyday or once a week? I have no issues exercising since at work I’m walking around everyday n climbing up and down a latter. I would just want to know and also what is the best product to use when doing this. Thank you to anyone that answers this.

  53. Seriously?!?!?!?!…. There is only ONE way to get a flat belly and it’s with exercise/clean eating…. COME ON PEOPLE, stop trying the easy way, it never works! STOP BEING LAZY and go work out for God’s sake!

  54. I am a massage therapist. I don’t believe that lotion works for this. Not just plan lotion. hemorrhoid cream, certain MUDs, sea weeds, etc. but not plain lotion.

  55. Ok, I LOVE this idea, but I have to say, it’s crackin’ me up that there’s a pic of chocolate cheesecake right under the last wrap picture! Can’t wait to try BOTH! Hahahaha!!

  56. I’m replying to Sylvia & Jordan and others who have had skin issues with psoriasis or eczema dated in March/April 2014, specifically regarding lesions on scalp (there didn’t seem to be a “reply” link with their posts). I’ve suffered with eczema since I was 21 years old (I’m now 65). I tried all the commercial shampoos, conditioners, lotions and medications from doctors. Nothing worked, EVER! I’ve taken great all natural supplements from wonderful companies, which I still love…they gave me more energy and health but did nothing for my skin issues. Finally with lots and lots of time, the lesions on my arms and hands cleared up (probably because I stopped using soaps on my skin) but the scalp (which I needed shampoo and conditioner for) never did. I was so fed up with an itchy, flaking, irritated scalp and just didn’t know what to do (not being able to wear black or dark colors because of the horrible flaking was awful too). Since most people don’t even mention this type of condition with others I was surprised when my neighbor told me about her dry, itchy, flaking scalp and what she had found to clear it up. I was ALL EARS for what she had to say. She actually had the missing piece to the puzzle. About a month prior to this conversation I had started using a shampoo from a health food store I had visited in Oregon, all-natural organic “Tate’s the Natural Miracle Shampoo, along with a hair conditioner of the same brand but I wasn’t real happy with the conditioner. I also bought a natural boar bristle brush from Amazon (when I was young, ages ago, it was well known that women a tad older than I had always used natural boar bristle brushes and brushed their hair 100 strokes per night). I thought, at least it might stimulate my scalp and help ease the itching. When it arrived, I immediately started using it every morning and night and it sure felt good, as well as loosened the flakes…removing SOME of them as I brushed (of course, my scalp was still producing scales 24/7). These things were the other two parts of the puzzle. The third and final part is what my neighbor told me: Her husband had started using a soap by a company called Shea Moisture African Black Soap and his psoriasis/eczema skin cleared up. Then she told me she was using a conditioner by the same company (Shea Moisture) called, “African Black Soap Balancing Conditioner”. I immediately went to Walgreen’s and bought it (my daughter tells me it can also be found at Wal-mart) and the soap (the soap didn’t work for me because I hadn’t used soap for years, using Oil of Olay soap-free cleanser with Shea Butter instead, which leaves my skin feeling silky not sticky like this and other soaps do….I don’t like feeling sticky) along with Tate’s , the Natural Miracle Shampoo. AND VOILA!!!! The combination of the Tate’s shampoo, the Shea Moisture African Black Soap Balancing Conditioner (the label says it has Plantain Enzyme, Tea Tree & Willow Bark Extract in it and it’s for DRY, ITCHY SCALP….Dandruff, Eczema & Psoriasis. There’s also a great story about the woman who formulated this product back in 1912. It has other natural ingredients, including Shea Butter…..maybe that’s why my body cleared up when I started using Oil of Olay with Shea Butter, hummm….)and the natural boar bristle brush WORKED LIKE A CHARM!!! No more itching, inflamed, flaky scalp!!! After about 45 years I found the perfect combination. Now I wear black all the time….AND NO FLAKES (or itching). Sorry this is a bit long but I felt I needed to make an full explanation since I’m sure most of you have “tried it all” like I had. Here’s to a healthy scalp!

  57. I used wraps before. The one you can buy in sports shops, and it didn’t work longer. But I suppose this one’s different right? So for stubborn areas, it’s a wrap. Haha. But seriously, I a reading good reviews from people. Nice! But don’t’ forget healthy eating and lifestyle ok? 🙂

  58. I’m sorry but wrapping yourself with plastic is really dangerous ( you can die doing this) for your body and the only reason your thinner after doing this is because 1: you make your body sweat excessively and there a significant risk of dehydration. 2:Do you know that you put plastic on your body? And that plastic must consist of a million chemical products? I’m sure you can develope some sort of skin cancer doing this to much and allergic reaction too like rash. 3:What people see as “loss of inches” during and after body wraps is usually nothing more than compression of body tissues. Anyway this is really bad.

  59. You are missing a great and amazing experience if you don’t have done body wrap treatment ever. Body wrap treatment is best to relax, detoxify, relief from pains, lose weight and reduces inches and pounds of body parts fast and frequent. Body wrap treatment is just like spa treatment but can be done at home easily.

  60. I use body wraps for their health benefits, not just for weight loss, although its definitely a plus ;). Before I tried body wraps I did a lot of research which helped me when it came time to pick the ingredients and what type of wrap I wanted to use. I always feel refreshed and slim after every use and they’re great for those events you need a quick slim down for (my wedding).

  61. I am a huge body wrap fan. I use them before any special occasion that I want to slim down for. They have helped tremendously with improving the look of my stretch marks, and just overall make me feel great. I have had them done in spas before, but prefer to just make my own.. There’s no difference in results and it saves a lot of money. You can find many DIY body wraps kits online 🙂 Check out my site for helpful tips on body wraps!

  62. Ok so the lotion i used was for babies lol its huggies with cucumber and green tea lotion. Would that work also!  I just put my wrap on im gonna test this out to see if it works im gonna go all day wearing it instead of wearing over night.

  63. You girls are stupid??? using PVC which is cancerigenous for this shit? You arent losing fat you are losing water! dont be so silly trying this its dangerous

  64. I am trying the wraps tonight and im curious if this will work….but how many inches would you lose iif you did this say everynight?

  65. Idk why some people have to be so rude and ignorant it is every persons choice to do whatever and they don’t need the rude comments so just save yourself some embarrassment and shut your mouth.  Ladies I have done this and it works.  I’m also a health nut and stay on my a game.  Do it it works great. Gives u that little bit of sexy;)

  66. Hey ladies. I have been doing this for yearsss both while exercising/sweating  with no lotions or mud & the overnight method with mud or sea salt. It does work.

However, the fact is this plastic is carcinogenic. So is the air we breathe lol

  67. Hey, I have cellulite cream would that work? And btw you looked amazing before the wrap reading that you had three kids.

  69. Although I commend your efforts, OF COURSE you lose an inch over night. You would without the wrap too! It’s called overnight digestion. I

  70. I tried this, and lost 1 inch, but tell me one more thing that if i keep doing it till required physical state that is it permanent? please answer soon you can inform me also at my email which is [email protected]

  71. Sorry but this is BS. I look skinnier every morning… its because I eat a big dinner and digest it over night. my stomach always looks better in the morning…

  72. I’ve been doing the plastic wrap thing since January and I’ve lost 5 inches or more in the waist. This really works. I never used the bandaged though and this is why the plastic slips sometimes.

  73. I know this is over a couple years ago but in hopes you will respond I’ll leave a comment anyways lol.so I have 8 month old twins and I’m trying to lose weight.Working out, eating right etc.I was wondering if you could use this during the daytime while you work out as well? Will it work just as good?

  74. Do you have to use the bandage? I wouldn’t even know where to get the bandage plus I really don’t want to spend the money

  75. I did this last night and it really worked! I lost a little over an inch, and I was wondering how often I could do it? I want to do it soon but I didn’t know if it was okay to do or not. Any thoughts?

  76. Thank you sooo much. This worked so well for me. I LOVE my results!!!!! Thank you thank you thank you

  77. Your body wrap has given me a big rash spreaded all over my stomach and has left me with these ichy redness pimple type lumps with puss around my belly button , what do i do  and how do i get rid off it ??

  78. I’ve also tried “It Work”. It works so well that I obtained a UTI after the first wrap. Didn’t know I had that much toxin in my body.

  79. I did this with Jergens and added Grapefruit Essential Oil & Lemongrass Essential Oil. Grapefruit because it’s tauted for weightless & Lemongrass for cleaning the lymph system & circulation (flushing toxins). Mixed it up, wrapped legs & stomach with saran wrap then put on a body shaper that covered legs & stomach area & thankfully slept well! Got up & removed everything & measured & low & behold 1.5″ were missing from my gut & thighs! I’ll try it next with Ahava dead Sea minerals lotion & see if that gives it more punch! Seriously need to use on my triceps! Thanks for the post!

  80. for the body wraps, I tried it with cinnamon and ginger and I saw a massive difference. I tried just the lotion waited two weeks then tried the lotion with 1/2 tablespoon of cinnamon and 1/2 tablespoon of ginger mixed in and saw over double the results

  81. Just to let u know u could die be in. A coma the reason these, things happen is because u sweat,to much and sweating to much can make u acculy have all gold these simtums so I might have to leave a safe, warning for, people that don’t known about this

  82. This looks interesting and will have to give this a try. Especially after seeing some of the other results posted in the comments. Does it really work overnight? I guess I’ll find out.

  83. I did a vicks wrap, added tea tree oil and coffee grounds. Lost 4inches on my waist in an hour. I know it’s water weight. But whatever. I was happy.

  84. ACE BANDAGES CAN BE DANGEROUS. They tighten with movement, which seems good in this situation, but it’s not. I know because I messed up my body by messing with ace bandages
