DIY Lacing Cards
With it being summer, I feel like I’m always looking for activities for my kids to do. These DIY Lacing Cards – Kids Craft Activity are not only the perfect craft for them to put together, but also to play with after they assemble them.
- Chipboard (a cereal box works great!)
- Colored Cardstock
- Lacing Strings
- Hole Punch
- Digital Die Cutting Machine (Optional)
Start out by cutting your chipboard and cardstock into the shapes that you want. I used my digital die cutting machine for this, but you could easily hand cut the shapes as well.
After you have all your chipboard and cardstock cut, you are ready to assemble them.
I ran the cardstock through my sticker maker, to make them sticky. You could also use a glue stick for this.
Next, I adhered the cardstock to the front of the chipboard.
Now you are ready to punch your holes.
Go all the way around until all the holes are punched.
Now they are ready to have the lacing strings put through the holes. The kids will love lacing these sea shapes!
