Hi all! Happy Friday! With fall just around the corner I thought I would share this fun and simple fall craft. This time of year has to be my favorite time of air. The air is crisp, the leaves are changing and the holidays are upon us. One of my favorite things about fall is the trees! I love the colors they change!

I wanted to make a tree centerpiece this year and came up with this fall craft that’s easy enough that even the kids could help. The best part is you can find most of these supplies at the Dollar Store!

Want to make one of your own?! Let’s get started..

Fall craft

Supplies:

  • Medium sized terra cotta bot
  • Tree branches (find some on the ground at the park)
  • Fall Leaves (from the Dollar Tree)
  • Metallic Bronze Paint
  • Glue
  • Autumn mix candy
  • Styrofoam square

The first thing you’ll want to do is paint your terracotta pot. This step isn’t necessary, but I thought it would be fun to give it a distressed look. I only did one quick coat, because I wanted to see the original color through the metallic paint. You could paint it any color though, that’s the fun part! A stencil might be fun too!

The next thing your going to do is glue your branches together to create the perfect tree. I only used two branches, but you could definitely make a larger tree. Then I stuck the branches in a Styrofoam square found at the Dollar Store. I put some candy on top to cover the Styrofoam. Don’t you just love those little pumpkins? ;)

Finally I glued my leaves to the branches. You could even cut out paper leaves and create a “grateful tree” and have your family write down things they are grateful for.

This little tree now sits happily on my kitchen table. I love how friendly it is! :) See now wasn’t that simple? Anyone can make one of these and for less than five bucks it is the perfect craft for you and your little ones!

Thanks for reading. Hope you have a great weekend!

Did the fall leaf centerpiece with my new granddaughter (almost 4 yrs old). Had a blast. She had fun and started off our Holiday crafting. Gonna try paper pumpkins to go with our little pilgrim/Indian figures for the Thanksgiving Table. Thank you so much.
