  • Strawberries: Wash and clean the strawberries. Remove the stems and cut them into bite-sized pieces.
  • Kiwi: Remove the brown outer layer of the kiwi and slice it into wedges.
  • Granny smith apples: After washing the apples either peel the skin off of the apples and slice them into bite-sized pieces or leave the skin on.
  • Blueberries: Rince the berries and simply add them to the bowl.
  • Raspberries: These are soft and squishy. Add these very last when mixing together. They can fall apart when being stirred.
  • Fruit preserves or jam: Pick your favorite flavor, I love raspberry preserves or strawberry jam to mix in. This gives the salsa a base and more flavor when marinating the fruits together.

How to Make Fruit Salsa

Easy fruit salsa is a quick and simple salsa that doesn’t take a lot of time to make. Simply prepare your fruit and mix it all together in a bowl. The flavors combined will blend together and create the best fruit salsa ever!

  • Wash fruit. First, wash and dice your fruit into bite-sized pieces. Place on a paper towel to air dry.
  • Combine. Mix all of the fruit and the preserves in a large bowl. Stir gently, just until combined.
  • Refrigerator. Store in the refrigerator until ready to serve. Best served within a day. Serve with cinnamon tortilla chips.

Homemade Cinnamon Chips

These homemade cinnamon tortilla chips take this salsa to the next level. Simply brush melted butter over the flour tortillas and sprinkle with the cinnamon and white sugar mixture. Using a pizza cutter, cut into triangles and place in a single layer on a baking sheet. Bake in the oven for 8 to 10 minutes. So simple and full of flavor!

Favorite Fruit to Use

I like to use lots of fresh berries because the combination tastes really great together, but you could honestly add in pretty much any fruit and it would still be delicious! Look for whichever varieties are in season at the moment. That way you’ll be using the most ripe, juicy, and flavorful options!

  • Blackberries: These are simple and can be washed and thrown into the bowl or even sliced in half to help keep them at a bite-sized size.
  • Mango: Peel and chop it into small bite-sized pieces.
  • Pineapple: Fresh is best for pineapple! Cut into small pieces the best you can.
  • Peaches: Slice either fresh or frozen peaches.
  • Grapes: Use either a purple or green grape. Cut into smaller pieces.

Tips for the Best Fruit Salsa

Here are some helpful tips to help create the best fruit salsa recipe! Keep your fruit salsa looking the best with these simple ideas and add that extra flavor. You will have perfect salsa with fruit every time!

  • Wash your fruit. Before you start chopping, make sure to give your fruit a nice scrub first. Then set it on a paper towel to dry completely.
  • Finely chop. When chopping the fruit, make sure to dice it into small, evenly sized-pieces. That way you get the most fruit in each bite!
  • Let marinate. After mixing the salsa together, let it chill for about 15 minutes in the refrigerator before serving. This gives the flavors time to marinate together and taste extra delicious.
  • Extra flavors. To boost the flavor even more, try adding a squeeze of fresh lime juice or mix in some fresh basil or mint from the garden for a more earthy taste.
