Hand Made Gift Idea w/ The Dating Divas

Hey everybody!! I am super super excited to be guest posting here at I Heart Nap Time to share with you a hand made gift idea!! I EL-OH-VEE-EE all the stuff Jamielyn has to offer!! She is so talented in a way that I am not!!

I am totally crazy about my husband!! I should be right??? {wink wink} Well over at the Dating Divas, we are finding ways every day to spruce up our marriages and to light that spark again!! Our secret?? Well… that’s easy… we have made it a priority in our marriages to date our husbands like we did back in the ol’ days!! So to help you show your man or lady how much you care about them… today, I am going to share with you what Jordan Ferney called the Envelope Surprise, and it is such a sweet and thoughtful way to tell someone how amazing they are… AND not only will you share this with them, but all their closest family and friends too!!! Here is a peek at the finished product… then I am going to tell you how to get yours started right now!!

So cute huh?? And with the help from our AMAZING from Lil Buckaroo Designs, the printables turned out fabulous!!

Hand Made Gift Idea:

Here’s how it works… inside each of these cute envelopes is a letter, a poem, a coupon, or even a gift for your honey… every day! Some are from you…and others are from your FRIENDS & FAMILY! :) That’s right, I had enough letters and things to share the love with my hubby for 2 weeks. It just so happened that I was out of town with the kids for one of the weeks that he was opening these letters… and it.made.his.week!

You will need to start with making a list of who you want to contact {…from whom would your spouse LOVE to receive a letter from??}, and make sure to give yourself some time because some people need a few weeks to write something special about someone. I sent mine out 2 weeks in advance. I gave it to family members and my hubby’s best friends. The turnout was great!! Once you know who you are going to send the request to… you will need to print the letter, fill it out and mail, deliver or email it. We even created the actual LETTERS you can send out to your friends & family explaining what you would like them to do!

GIRLS: You will use THIS one when requesting letters for a man… {man colors} OR use THIS one {if your man is not a dad yet}

GUYS: You will use THIS one… YES it is pink, but you are doing this for your sweety!! {wink wink} OR use THIS one {if your lady is not a momma yet}

And that part is pretty self-explanatory. Next… you need to print your numbers for your envelopes… THIS one is for up to 24, if you are doing this for a whole month, you will want to print THIS one as well!!

And did you want coupons to match??? We did that too!! Did any of your friends or family members want to treat that special someone to a night on the town… lunch… lemonade… ice cream?!?! Eh?? You will need THESE and THESE as well!!! :)

You will also need some envelopes… which you can find absolutely anywhere… Here are envelopes for a good deal.

The only other thing you might need is a banner if this is for a special holiday. Tara surprised her hubby for his birthday and I did it for Father’s Day… they both turned out awesome!!!

Success is the greatest isn’t it??!!

And my hubby’s actual words were… “Wen, this has been THE best gift I have EVER received in my life…” Ahhh!!!

So, what are you waiting for?? You have plenty of time to start prepping for the next birthday, Father’s Day, Mother’s Day, Valentine’s, or the BEST reason of all… Just Because!!

We have tons of great ideas similar to these and MORE over at the Dating Divas… and we invite you to come check us out soon!! Thanks Jamielyn for having me!!

    I love this idea. I want to try it out but I’m not sure for who or what occasion. It would be a great Christmas count down for my daughter when she gets a bit older.
