Hi Everybody!I’m just happy and excited to have the opportunity to share with you guys a little Kids Halloween Craft that I made with my little ones…

…But where are my manners?
Let me take a second to introduce myself.I am Desirée from The 36th AVENUE

… and I really do {♥} Nap Time
therefore I feel so lucky to spend the day here
on one of my favorite blogs.
I hope this project inspires you to create something with the little ones around you!
Jamielyn… THANK YOU SO MUCH for having me today…
It is FANTASTIC to be here!
L♥ve it!
Let’s get started should we ?
Just a few weeks ago I found these silver platters at my local Dollar Store…
and my first thought was CHALKBOARDS!
I went home  right away and I took out my chalkboard paint…
I was ready to get this party started ;)
I gave the platters enough coats of paint to cover the entire surface perfectly…
They looked awesome already!
After they dried I prepared the surface spreading chalk all over and wiped it off with a clean sock…
The sock worked perfectly!
For the next step I used a drill to make two holes in each platter…
Do this slowly… I don’t want you to get hurt!
We were ready to decorate the platters with some chalk…
My kids gave me the ideas for the drawing…
How cute is their sketch…?
Yes, I am a copy cat!

First I used white chalk to outline the drying…
…and after I used some color chalk  since my little assistants thought that
it would look better…
You must ALWAYS trust the pros!
At this point we just had one more step… to connect all three platters.
You can use fabric or ribbon among some other thing for this step!
We love Halloween so much
that we hanged it up right away…
Here is how it looks with some color fabrics
for the connections….
Now looking at it I think it would look very cute with the words:
LOVE HALLOWEEN! Such a fun kids Halloween craft!

Jamielyn,  thank YOU SO MUCH again for
letting me hang OUT with you and your EXTRAORDINARY
readers today…

…I want to keep napping ;)

I saw some platter exactly like that at The Dollar Tree the other day and thought they would look good as Chalkboards, but I wasn’t sure how they would look once I did them! Now I do! Thank you! I will definitely have to make my way back up there and grab a few.

Really cute! I actually have a few of these Dollar Store trays at home right now…may just have to consider pulling out the chalkboard paint. Thanks for the great idea.
