I’m SO excited to introduce you to the new contributors that will be regularly posting here on I Heart Nap Time. They are each very talented and I’m thrilled to have them apart of my team! Make sure to visit their blogs, you will love them!! Now Let’s get to know them a little better shall we?
Landee (Home Décor/crafts), Anna (sewing), Danielle (Art/Design), Natalie (DIY Projects/Painting), Telisa (Free Printables/Designs), Dorangela and Katie (feature posts).
I am Landee from Landee See, Landee Do. As the daughter of an accomplished crafter & seamstress (Mom) and an I-Can-Literally-Fix-Anything Guy and long arm quilter (Dad), I had no chance to escape the addiction to and the allure of crafting! Apparently it is in my blood and I am so thankful for it. As my blog name suggests, I see something I like and I do it. It’s as simple as that. I also have an original idea or two in there as well, but for the most part I like to take all the inspiration I see on all the amazing blogs and websites out there and give them a little twist or updating. I also love taking several ideas and putting them together into something I find delightful. Isn’t that really what we are all doing anyway? I love that blogging combines my strengths of crafting, photography and writing all into one! I regularly have a moment of silence in gratitude for the amazing thing that is the Internet. :)
On a personal note, I have been married to the funniest person I know for 15 years and we have 3 equally funny kids. Two boys, ages 11 and 9, and a 5 year old girl. I have been a SAHM from the second my first son was born and, as you all know, kids can definitely keep you on your toes. One minute I’m driving someone to baseball and figuring out next year’s gymnastics schedule. The next minute I’m worrying about what they are telling people at church regarding what it’s like to have me for a mother…. that never ends well, believe me! In our 15 years of marriage we have lived in six different states all over the country (UT, IN, NY, OH, SC, CO) but are now settled nicely in the Denver area and we absolutely love it. Some of my favorite posts are: My Entry Way Remix, Thumbtack Decorative Vase Fillers, and for Easter, my Easter Egg Bling post.
Favorite ice cream flavor: Chocolate Peanut Butter (the bigger the chunks of peanut butter, the better).
My favorite tool/product: A toss up between spray paint and scrapbook paper… both give me endless possibilities!
I love funky fabrics with bright and large designs. I love to "think outside the blocks" by combining patterns from fabric designers such as Tanya Whelan and Heather Bailey or Tula Pink and Anna Maria Horner. Currently my favorite projects to make include tote bags, doll quilts, and skirts for little girls. I just joined and am now a board member of the Modern Quilt Guild in my home town of San Antonio, TX. I believe sewing should be fun and beautiful, easy and FAST!
I also have a sewing studio in San Antonio where I teach people to love their sewing machines! I’ve worked with young girls 7-16 years old, new moms, busy young professionals and even those who are a little more "mature" in age but young at heart (you have to be, my studio is on the third floor with no elevator!) I hope to inspire those who have always been afraid of threading their sewing machine and winding a bobbin to eventually learn to love to make new bags, dresses and quilts (among other things) as gifts for their friends, family or even just themselves. For those who live outside of San Antonio, I have an active website Crafty Girls Work Shop with all my fabric and pattern selections plus a blog (http://blog.craftygirlsworkshop.com) and super interactive Facebook page. I’m always willing to help and you can e-mail me any time with sewing (or other) questions. Use code NAPTIME for 10% off Crafty Girls Workshop.
Favorite ice cream: mint chocolate chip
Favorite tool: The rotary cutter, mat and rulers! Essential for cutting straight lines for quilting.
I’m Danielle from Dani Marie Designs, and for as long as I can possibly remember, my greatest passion has always been art. My mother, sister, and grandmothers are all incredibly talented women who have always encouraged my artistic growth. When I was about fourteen, I began my own mural painting business and have been selling custom artwork ever since. I received my Bachelor of Fine Arts in Graphic Design from the lovely Longwood University, and am currently completing my Master of Arts in Art Education through Boston University. I have a wonderful job at a private school where I assist with all web, design, and communication needs. I am also a seasonal volleyball coach, blogger, Etsian, painter, crafter, baker, party-planner, and art vendor (online and in several boutiques). January 1, 2011 I began a 365 Days of Photos project, and am loving the challenge of it! I am also very newly engaged, and look forward to sharing little sneak peaks of my planning process!
Overall, I feel art is a way of living. We are always surrounded by inspiration ~ it is just a matter of learning how to absorb and appreciate what we see. Art has always been my passion and in many ways, is my greatest escape to an inner stillness.
Favorite ice cream: mocha chocolate chip

Natalie from Natty By Design. Refinishing furniture started out as a hobby for me and has recently turned into a growing business. It is so gratifying to give an old piece of furniture new life. I also enjoy working with clients to create unique furniture pieces for their home. I love to decorate and I am slowly transforming my first home into a colorful and modern space that I love to be in.
I thrive on the adrenaline of a good challenge (note the ages of my children; 6, 5, 3 and 1). I have a passion for learning new things and being efficient. I am an incurable DIYer. If I can do it myself – then I’m going to do it BY MYSELF. I am very organized, love to be right, and am happy when my surroundings are CLEAN. I am quite the homebody and I am happiest when I am surrounded by family.
Favorite ice cream: Blue Bell’s Strawberries and Cream.
My favorite tool: definitely my gravity feed hvlp paint sprayer. It saves me oodles of time and gets me that smooth paint finish I’m after.

Hi! I am Dorangela, a stay at home mom to two active little boys who always keep me on my toes. Somehow I manage to squeeze in some time to Craft, Bake and Celebrate. I love party styling and specialize in making gluten and casein free parties that are just as delicious and beautiful as their traditional counterparts. I have become an expert in allergen free parties due to my boys’ severe food allergies. I also enjoy making all sorts of craft projects and I have the glue gun burns to prove it!
I live in sunny Tampa, Florida and enjoy going to the beach, playing in the pool with my boys and of course planning a celebration any chance I get! I love to organize exciting activities for my son’s school and sharing it with other parents through my blog, Two Prince Bakery Theater. I am always baking for my two little princes and it’s always a show with the two of them around! I write about crafts, baking and parties as well as other creative things that I love! I am so excited to be a featured blogger here at one of my favorite blogs I <3 Nap Time! I hope to get to know all of you a little better and that my passion for parties, baking and crafting, inspires you to Craft, Bake and Celebrate a little more!
My Favorite ice cream is: cookies and cream
My Favorite tool/product: My Silhouette SD and my pink Kitchen Aid Stand Mixer, can’t live without either one of them!
My name is Katie and I am so blessed to be a wife to my high school sweetheart and mother to our two sweet, crazy kids. In my past life I was an elementary school teacher, but now I am a photographer by trade and absolutely adore what I do. I mean, how many people get to spend quality time with families and babies when they look their best and are on their best behavior? I do have to say that I’m not great at limiting myself to doing one single thing though. I really do love anything remotely crafty and creative and I have a passion for party planning and styling. Sweet Rose Studio started as a way to showcase my clients’ photos, but has quickly transformed into a way to share all of the creative craft and party planning ideas that I have floating around in my head. I’m trying to teach myself to sew one stitch at a time and you can regularly find me with a sippy cup in one hand and a glue gun in the other with my camera hanging around my neck. Life is short; why not? Two of my favorite links: Girlies Day Out , Mini Strawberry Shortcake.
Favorite Ice Cream: Tie- Cookies and Cream/Mint Chocolate Chip
