Repurposed Home Decor

There’s nothing like the thrill of the hunt for a fabulous yard sale or thrift store find. It is amazing to see what creative people can come up with using salvaged items that would have otherwise been thrown away.

Next time you go to throw away an item that no longer serves it’s intended purpose, think outside the box and find inspiration to make something old new again. Hope you enjoyed these little finds!

I absolutely love the headboard made out of doors. My father-in-law had two doors for me, but my husband made so much fun of me, that I gave up my idea. I forwarded him the picture. Hopefully he will get my vision now and let me run with it without teasing me!

I love all of these ideas…I just re-purposed an old dictionary into a wreath, and I love the way it came out. It feels so good to up-cycle existing items…

I recently turned an old shutter into a headboard. It’s my favorite project so far. I’ve been on the hunt for some nice doors though.

Love this so much! The apple crates to bookshelf is my favorite. Do you have a source link for it? Didn’t see one on the post. I’d like to see how they attached them. Thanks ;)

Wow, old doors and windows seem to experience a real revival. My favorite is the kid’s table, though – never quite sure what to do with old cabinet doors, at one point I was considering turning them into trays but this is a way cutter idea. Thanks for sharing!

I love the apple crate bookshelf and the cabinet door kids table and the old windows organization center. Such wonderful creative ideas!
