Spooky Halloween display

Hi friends! Happy Wednesday! Today I wanted to share with you guys my spooky Halloween display that I put together over the weekend. I love how it turned out! I wanted to go more SPOOKY this year and kept the colors pretty neutral. As much as I love orange, I decided to leave it out. Black and white never seem to disappoint, do they?

The backdrop I made was pretty simple to make and really does make a BIG impact. Want to make one? Here’s how!

Supplies:

  • Giant black foam board (2.99 at Jo-Ann’s)
  • Old book (great way to recycle one that has been ruined or found at Goodwill)
  • Hot glue
  • Plates (found mine for 1.99 at Target)
  • Vinyl or stencil for the center of the plate

1. Tear pages from an old book

2. Hot glue pages around the edge of the foam board with wripped edge facing out. Then glue pages throughout the middle.

3. Gather plates and hang them up with command strips.

4. Apply vinyl or stencil chandeliers to the center of your plates. I printed a bunch of vinyl chandeliers with my CAMEO but you could also find a stencil and paint a design onto the plate.

After the plates were hung I glued some spiders around the edges and then hung black chains across the top. Then I glued little triangles on the chain to create a spooky bunting which was inspired by Tatertots and Jello‘s chain banner.

I found these cute pieces at Home Goods… love that store!

Can’t have a Halloween display without a glitter pumpkin! ;)

I {heart} Halloween decorations.

SO I’m curious… do you get into Halloween decorating? Are your’s up?

I absolutely love halloween!! I am digging your decor, I may try and do something similar. I love my cameo and just purchased a chandelier svg! Is this an outside or inside display? And where did you get those awesome black chains?

So cute!!! I love it! I need to finish my decorations. I made a Halloween wreath that I posted on my blog and went a little more scary than cutesy. You should check it out. I got almost everything at the dollar store (you’d be proud haha). My friend and I made them for a total of like $14 each (which included ribbon-the most expensive part).
