Hi friends! I have a SUPER awesome giveaway for you today, but first I wanted to share with you some great tips and spotlight a few devices from T-Mobile.

While your kids are out and about this summer T-Mobile can help keep them safe. I am always looking for ways to keep my kids safe. Here are some awesome tools they have provided to Parents with the goal in mind to keep families safe this summer. Family safety is important to T-Mobile and they can help protect your family through a  variety of applications, products and services including T-Mobile FamilyWhere, Web Guard and Family Allowances.

Summer tips with T-Mobile

MobileLife Family Organizer is a new way to keep busy families organized with work schedules, appointments and lists. I recently downloaded this app and it is awesome! Keep track of your shared family calendar, shopping and grocery lists, to do lists, family journal—all while you’re on the go. You can also share your favorite photos and memories all in one place. Find these applications in GooglePlay, Amazon app store for Android, Blackberry App world and the apple app store, so the whole family can use it no matter what mobile platform they are using.

FamilyWhere check-in, a free service is great for families on the go. With FamilyWhere, you can find your family members mobile devices location. You can schedule automatic location checks and get notifications by text or email or through their ap. You can suscribe to FamilyWhere by visiting My T-Mobile and clicking on Parent controls or download in google play.

Web Guard is a free, optional feature that helps you restrict access to adult web content on your family’s T-Mobile phones. You can choose from three different Web Guard access levels—Child, Teen, or Young Adult. This is great for kids who may be browsing on phones. You never know what will pop up these days on the web.

Family Allowances  makes it easy for parents to set upfront limits on family plan minutes, messages, and downloads. Family Allowances keeps you in control and helps you avoid unexpected overage charges on your bill. This definitely would have been a “money-saver” for my parents when I was in high school. ;)

Lookout Mobile Security is this the easiest way to stop malware, phishing, loss and theft.

On top of all of these awesome app’s T-Mobile has come out with some amazing new phones. Check them out:

Samsung Galaxy S Blaze 4g

The Android powered Samsung Galaxy S Blaze 4G is one of the fastest smartphones running on T-Mobile’s fast 4G network. This fun device offers a variety of features and aps. A few pre-loaded aps include Netflix, T-Mobile TV, Navigater and Yelp. This device has integreted google features such as google talk, search and g-mail. I love the sleek design on the Samsung Galaxy S Blaze, especially with all of these fab features. Read more about it here.

T-Mobile HTC One S

The HTC One S is the thinnest smart phone. I got to review one of these devices for a few weeks and I am completely in love! I love how light it is. Plus the large screen is a huge bonus! With this phone you can capture great pictures and HD videos with the 8 Megapixel camera. There’s also a back lit camera sensor to help take better photos in low light conditions. Read more about the features here.

T-Mobile Spring Board with Google

I’m loving also loving the new T-Mobile Spring Board. Watch movie, play games, read books, listen to music or work on the go. Check the weather and update your family calendar and menu while running errands. Read and explore the web virtually anywhere! This device is super thin and would fit in your purse. The SpringBoard uses Android’s Honeycomb platform. You can get high-speed Internet, plus thousands of Android apps and so many fun pre-loaded applications. This 7-inch tablet is great for social networking on the go. This would also be great for keeping the kids entertained on road trips this summer. Go just about anywhere with T-Mobile’s speedy 4g network. 16 gb. Read more about it here.

Guess what friends? T-Mobile wants to give ONE I Heart Nap Time reader their very own Springboard. How awesome is that?!

My kiddos are too young right now to be on the computer unsupervised. But if they’re on the computer, we are right next to them or allow them to use the computer without the internet connection.

We are constantly checking the temps and air quality on our HTC for our boys. They suffer from asthma and one gets overheated pretty easily, so for me being able to go on anytime of day and check while we are out and about during monsoon season is a huge thing! :D

My boys are much older so I don’t really employ the safety techniques many parents use to monitor their younger ones. We are in pretty constant ‘text contact’ though. The rule is if I don’t get a reply within 15 minutes or 2 texts than I track their phone. Yes, they are older & I don’t monitor them regularly, but these days having one person always know where you are is important. You never know when an accident could happen & this way help is never too far away. What an amazing giveaway opportunity. Thanks for the chance to win!

My girls are both young adults now but we still talk with them every single day, either through email or a phone call. When they were younger we monitored their computer use by having the computer right in the family room. It was easy to see what they were looking at, and we did have a time limit for them as well. We always explained to them why certain websites were not allowed, didn’t just say no and not tell them why.

Thank you for the chance to win a Spring Board!

My kids are young so it’s easy to keep them safe with all the fun, family activities we do when we are out and about. Some popular activities are going to the library, vacations, parks, friends’ and family houses, my daughter’s dance workshop, and walks around the neighborhood.

I don’t have little ones yet but I have a 86 yr old grandfather that I care for fulltime with dementia. He fought in WWII to let us have the freedoms we have today like being able to have smart devices. I could not bare for him to be in a nursing home! I keep tabs on him with GPS so he still feels like he has freedom. This would totally help me to know where he is when I am not able to bring him to dialysis, doctors appts our just driving his motorized wheelchair in the neighborhood!

My baby girl is only two months old, so I use my wireless devices to keep my eye on the hot summer temperatures and heat index. When it is too hot, we spend our days indoors.

My kiddo is just over a year old but he is already playing on our smart phones. I think supervison and parental locks are going to be the ticket for us.

I’m not up to date with all the wireless tech. Mainly I use my cell to communicate via text w/ sitter or daycare.

My oldest is still only 3, so we’re just barely introducing him to the computer. We sit by him and play lots of reading games.

Since my kids aren’t old enough to have their own mobile devices, (1 &3) I let them play games on my phone to keep them entertained so they will stay right by me. (and to keep them from running away and hiding). Can you tell I have a 3 year old boy at my house?

My daughter is just entering the mobile stage, so wireless everything is absolutely crucial! Wires apparently look like teething toys…

Now that my son is 14, we are starting to let him become more independent by doing things like going to the movie with friends. Using a cell phone for checking in and arranging pickup times allows us contact without smothering him.

Thanks for the great giveawaw. Fingers crossed!

We don’t use mobile devices (yet), but when they are older, I expect I’ll use them most to check where the kids are/what they are doing.

Sunscreen at the beginning of the day…make it a habit. Technology wise…well, all of our devices are password protected so they have to ask for help to even use them for basic applications or games. No internet connectivity without Mom or Dad there.
