Washi Tape Chrsitmas Trees

Are you up to your ears in washi tape? Need a fun holiday idea to use up some of that pretty tape? {so you can buy more?! haha} Well, these washi tape trees are just for you! Super quick and easy, and they look totally rad!
Washi Tape Christmas Trees
I LOVE polka dots, so of course I had to use plenty of dot washi tape for my trees.

I can’t wait to decorate these cute Christmas trees! I am not decorating for Christmas yet…..although I will admit, my Christmas tree *just might* be up already! hehe But I have a good reason! :)

Quick Tutorial

Washi Tape Trees

Supplies:

  • washi tape {of course!}
  • 3 paper mache cones in 3 sizes {mine are 7″, 10.5″ and 13.5″ tall}
  • white paint {I used spray paint}
  • scissors {optional}

Washi Tape Trees
1. Paint your paper mache cones white. It took about 2 coats of spray paint for mine. Make sure they dry thoroughly.

2. Then apply your washi tape starting at the top point of the cone and go straight down. Then you can tear or rip your washi tape. If there is any excess, you can wrap it around and press it to the inside of the cone.

 3. Continue applying the washi tape until your cone is completely covered.

It seriously takes like 15 minutes to do 3 trees. So easy!

    These are so cute! How much washi tape did you use per tree. Would one roll be fine or do I need to get more than one of the same design. Thanks :)
