With breakfast being the first meal of the day, I always find myself fumbling around in the kitchen, trying to find something to eat for breakfast.  I tend to always resort to the same bowl of cereal, or french toast bagel. Until I decided to try using a cantaloupe as a bowl…

I couldn’t BELIEVE how easy it was to create this scrumptious little breakfast bowl! For someone who isn’t a huge fan of yogurt, I was a bit skeptical of what I would think.  Let me just say… I am FLOORED with how delicious it really is.  I’m able to add whichever yogurt and toppings that I want, and that makes it even better!

Cantaloupe Breakfast Bowls are easy to make!

Since cutting the cantaloupe in half, I experimented with two different ways to prepare it.  Now… on a normal morning, I would cut the cantaloupe in half, and refrigerate one half for the next morning. (Two breakfasts in one!)
Cantaloupe Breakfast Bowl with yogurt and granola is an incredibly easy, healthy, and delicious way to start the day!

The first cantaloupe bowl included vanilla yogurt, blackberries, and almond granola.  DEE-LISH.  A little crunch, is always the way to my heart.

The other half included vanilla yogurt, topped with a breakfast espresso blend of granola, chocolate covered espresso beans, cranberries, and so much more.  I must say, it’s my fave. (So far.)

Ingredients

  • 1 Cantaloupe
  • 1 cup Yogurt
  • 1/2 cup Fruit
  • 1/4 cup Granola
  • 1/4 cup Trail Mix

Instructions

  1. Slice cantaloupe in half
  2. Clean out seeds and pulp
  3. Fill cavity with your choice of yogurt
  4. Top yogurt with items such as granola, fruit, trail mix, etc.

I can’t wait to hear if you give this a try!  Getting out of the “funk” of cereal and bagels, has been so nice! I even serve this to my girlfriends when they come over to catch up over a light breakfast and a cup of coffee.  So far… it has been a hit with everyone!
