Homemade Cinnamon Butter

This recipe is a copycat from Texas Roadhouse cinnamon butter and is seriously SO good. This butter taste amazing on pretty much ANYTHING, but my favorite thing to spread it over is a warm slice of French bread or homemade dinner roll.

This butter, my garlic herb butter and orange butter also make a great gift for the holidays. Place in mini mason jars with a bag of bread and your friends will love your forever!

How to Make Cinnamon Butter

This cinnamon honey butter is so easy to make and is perfect to have on hand for special occasions. It’s super easy to whip up and will only take 5 minutes and one bowl.

How to make cinnamon butter.
  1. Whip together the butter, powdered sugar, honey, cinnamon and vanilla.
  2. Store in a airtight container.

It really is as simple as that.

Expert Tips

As easy as this cinnamon butter recipe is, these tips will help make it perfect!

  • Softened butter. Make sure your butter is nice and soft (but not melted). If you need to soften your butter quickly, place in the microwave for 15-20 seconds at 50% power.
  • Quality butter: With so few ingredients, I like to use a quality butter like Kerrigold for this recipe.
  • Unsalted or salted butter. I like to use salted butter so if you use unsalted butter you may need to add a pinch of salt to enhance flavors.
  • Less sweet. If you like a less sweet cinnamon honey butter, decrease the added powdered sugar slightly.

Serving Suggestions

Honestly, this cinnamon butter would taste good on ANYTHING. But here are a few of my families favorite things to spread it over.

If you’d like to pipe it into a jar like I did below, you can use a 1M frosting tip.

Storing Cinnamon Honey Butter

Despite this butter being so good you could eat it with a spoon, you may have leftovers to store!

  • Store: You can store honey butter at room temperature safely for 1-3 days. After that, store in the fridge for up to one month and bring to room temperature before using.
  • Freezer: You can also store this in the freezer up to 6 months. Do not reheat in the microwave as it will melt. Let thaw at room temperature until spreadable.

More delicious bread recipes spread this butter on include cinnamon apple muffins, buttermilk pancakes and cinnamon swirl bread!
