Welcome to the Crazy Christmas Event! If you’re new here, join us on Facebook and Pinterest. Now let’s give Katie from Sweet Rose Studio a big welcome! We’re so happy to have you guest posting!

My kids have been constantly asking me when Christmas is coming. They are so excited for all of the fun and festivities associated with our favorite holiday of the year and honestly — I can’t blame them! I wanted to create something for them that would help to continue their excitement, but help keep them occupied as they wait. I’ve come up with a simple and inexpensive magnetic Christmas kids craft for you to make that they can play with time and again!

Supplies:

Die-Cut Machine or pre-cut shapes (I used the Cricut Explore)

card stock in various colors

MY OTHER RECIPES

magnets

low-temp hot glue gun

hot glue sticks

cookie sheet

Directions:

1. Cut out the various shapes from the card stock. If you have a Cricut Explore, you can find the cut files HERE.

2. Use the hot glue to attach the magnets to the back of each piece of card stock. If you’d like to keep these pieces for years to come, I’d suggest laminating them before attaching the magnets.

3. Set the shapes on the cookie sheet.

Seriously, my four year old daughter sat for at least 30 minutes playing with and rearranging all of the shapes. She made the white snowman circles into clouds and pretended the tree was a person. I love it!

Thanks so much Jamielyn for having me here today! I always love stopping by!

Katie-and-family_09162012_031-Crop-150x150Hi y’all! I’m Katie and I’m blog over at Sweet Rose Studio. I am so blessed to be a wife to my high school sweetheart and mother to our three sweet, crazy kids. In my past life I was an elementary school teacher, but now I am a stay-at-home-momma by trade and absolutely adore what I do. I do have to say that I’m not great at limiting myself to doing one single thing though. I really do love anything remotely crafty and creative and I have a passion for party planning and styling. I’m trying to teach myself to sew one stitch at a time and you can regularly find me with a sippy cup in one hand and a glue gun in the other with my camera hanging around my neck. I am a self-professed Oreo and Chapstick addict and I’m excited to be delving in Project Life for the very first time.
