With our last move, I tried to keep everything super organized and it helped tremendously. One thing that really helped was keeping a moving checklist that I used several weeks leading up to the move. It kept me on top of things and definitely felt great to mark tasks off the list as they were completed. Plus, cute check lists definitely make packing a bit more fun. 😉

Because it helped me so much, I wanted to offer it to you guys too! If you have a big move coming up, simply download the printable moving list below. You got this!

  1. Ah, the joys of moving! My husband is completing his 5 year general surgery residency and we are on the move as well this summer! My tip for packing: be resourceful and use your towels as padding between fragile items. My encouragement for residency: you will be rewarded for your sacrifice. Find other resident wives to create a support network for one another.

  2. These are just what I need right now! Thanks for posting these. We, too, are gearing up for a move to OH in July. So, I’m just starting to think about packing stuff that we will need as we prepare for the movers to arrive.

  3. Good luck to you! I grew up in Ohio and still have family there. You will love the fall colors, trust me! It’s just gorgeous. I don’t know what part you’re moving to, but we were in the north central suburbs of Cleveland. Twinsburg has the largest Twins festival every year…they come from all over the world. Geauga County has an awesome county fair…and great maple syrup! Enjoy this new adventure!

  13. Think about you pets, update their collars, with phone numbers, don’t worry about putting names on them, put as many numbers you can. Also your email address.
Have copies of their medical records with you too.
Plan on finding a new home for your pet, do it sooner than later.  A lot of places are full and have a waiting list up to 3 months out.

  14. LOVE these gorgeous checklists! I recently put together a checklist for moving into your first apartment (you know, stuff you need when you’re first moving out on your own, like fire extinguishers and curtain rods…), but yours is so beautifully laid out. I’ll definitely use these next time I move. Thank you for sharing them!
