DIY Noel sign -Pottery Barn knockoff! {CCC}

Hey everyone at {I Heart Naptime}! I’m Tam from Sew Dang Cute Crafts. I’m excited to show you how to make this fun Noel Sign-a Pottery Barn knock-off!
DIY Noel sign -Pottery Barn knockoff!
Don’t you just love Jamielyn? I sure do, and I am so excited to be here today as part her Crazy Christmas Crafters series. Loved it last year and this year is just as awesome so far!
A while ago I was browsing through the Pottery Barn catalog and I saw this GORGEOUS Noel Wall Art.
Then I saw the price tag and didn’t think it was so gorgeous anymore: $149!!!

I refused to pay that much for something I could make, so here’s my knockoff version of the noel sign.

Wanna know how much this one cost me? Go ahead, guess.

Yeah, that’s definitely something I can handle.

I stocked up my 50% off coupons and headed to JoAnns to buy these cardboard letters.

They sell for $3.99 each and are 12” tall. With my coupons I only paid $2/letter, and that was the end of my spending since I had the rest of the supplies on hand.

First I hot-glued the letters together.

Then since I didn’t want this thing to fall apart, I took some sawtooth picture hangers and hammered them flat before nailing them on the back to ensure the letters stayed together.

I wanted to have mine look like one piece, similar to PB’s, so I decided to caulk.

Now normally I would have used a gun and the caulk in the tube, but I used up the rest of mine on my closet doors to headboard and keep forgetting to buy more.

Works for me. Squeeze some between all the crevices, then take a damp cloth to wipe off the excess.

Once that was dry, I grabbed some Rustoleum Hammered spray paint leftover from my family room shelf project.

Then I wrapped a wood board with some music sheets, and guess what? It’s done! Quick and inexpensive.

Thanks so much for having me Jamielyn.

Happy Holidays!!

Lots of thoughts about doing things and creativity. No time at least that’s the way I feel.

    You inspire me.

Very cute DIY. What did you use for the base to put the music sheets on? Also, did you use Modge Podge to attach the music sheets?

Hi Margo! This was a guest post… however I think a white foam board would work great as the base. Any any decoupage would work as well. Good luck! :)
