Survey Results {thank you!}

First off, thank you, THANK YOU, thank you, to all 400+ of you who took the survey I posted last week.  Your answers were just the boost I needed for the New Year. I loved your honesty and sincerity. Some of your comments even had me in tears (the happy kind). I was expecting all kinds of negative feedback, but I got far from that. Thank you for making my day! I know it’s hard to please everyone, but I will try very hard to so. :)

The winner of the $50 visa card goes to #127 Melissa L. Congrats! Please e-mail me your address and I’ll send that right out!

Some things I took away from the survey…

  • 63% of you have a blog.
  •  The majority of you enjoy Holiday Crafts and DIY projects.
  • 70% are happy with the amount of guest posts there are now.
  • 50% of you read I Heart Nap Time straight from the blog and 38% read from the RSS feed.
  • 70% of you said it’s very easy to find things on the blog. That makes me happy.
  • 78% of you LOVE giveaways.

What you would like to see more of in 2012…

The usual posts (good to know), organization tips, my blogging story and tips, simple and cheap home decor ideas, more kids crafts, easy recipes, more DIY projects, Photography tips and easy crafts for beginners.

More than one of you would like to know more about my style, how I do my hair, make-up, etc. This one honestly surprised me… but I might be able to write up a few posts for you… I am a licensed hair stylist after all. ;)

Changes you would like to see…

Most of you said you loved it how it is. This made me smile; although I was also very grateful for the other comments.

You would  like to see more posts and craft ideas.

You would like to see a list of my projects with thumbnail pictures next to them (I’m actually working on this…YAY)

You would like the search bar to be more visible.

You don’t like the “read more” in your feeds. I will see what I can do to fix that for you. :) However, so far I have found that  in order to keep my website loading faster for everyone I have needed to keep only the first post in its entirety while truncating the rest.

Those were the most common responses. Thank you so much for taking the survey. I’d still love for you to take it here, if you haven’t already. I will try to implement your suggestions over the next couple of months.

I’m really excited for this year! I have some fun projects in store and cant wait to share them with you!

 Happy New Year!!

  1. That’s okay, Christmas may be over but we are all going to need new recipes and ideas for Valentines Day! Who doesn’t love chocolate chip cookies in a cute heart shaped box or in a big mason jar with a big pink ribbon around it? I can’t wait to try them!

  2. You are such a sweetheart and I love your blog. I ‘ve always been a crafter but this is all new to me to find all of the information and how too’s. Keep up the great work and keep those crafts going. Happy New Year!

  3. Looking forward to all you have planned. Hope you have a grand evening. Toodles, Kathryn @TheDedicatedHouse
