Thanksgiving tablescape + free printables!

One of my favorite holidays is Thanksgiving. I just love it. This will be my first year (EVER) away from my family for this holiday. I’m sad that I won’t be in AZ this year, but I’m excited to spend it with my little family here in Ohio. I think it will be fun to start our own traditions and maybe I’ll even learn how to NOT burn a turkey. 😉

I wanted to create a simple yet elegant Thanksgiving tablescape this year and with the help of Shutterfly I think it came together quite nicely. This table took me less than an hour to put together and it will take you even less time since you most likely won’t be hauling your kitchen table outside for a little photo shoot. Yeah about that… my neighbors probably think I’m crazy always taking weird pictures outside. LOL! It would have been so fun to eat out there, but it is FREEZING.

I wanted to make this tablescape kid friendly and not go to fancy. I have a 4 year old and a soon to be 3 year old, so I needed to keep things simple!

With kids, place mats are mandatory at my house. Shutterfly recently launched their new line of placemats, so I knew I had to create something fun with those. I also created a custom plate, cup, coasters and napkin ring holders from Shutterfly’s ceramic ornaments. I love how it all came together! I even was brave and tied in some orange. I don’t do orange very often, but for fall I just love it.

I found these cute napkins at Pier One and my white dishes are from Target! You’ll be able to download all of these designs at the very bottom of this post. I created them just for YOU!

Wood centerpiece

For the centerpiece I found a scrap piece of wood in my garage (a 2×4) and spray painted it. Then I added 5 little white pumpkins, a few pinecones and some little decorative beads I found at Michaels. It cost me less than five bucks! Can’t beat that!

I also ordered this Whimsical table runner on Shutterfly. I didn’t add any pictures to the squares because I wanted to keep it clean and simple. You could use any fabric for the middle.

I also ordered one of their desktop plaques and added the free printable ‘give thanks.’  You could also print this out and put in a frame.

Now I’m getting anxious for Thanksgiving. All I can think about is homemade rolls, mashed potatoes and pumpkin pie! Okay… let’s get through Halloween first! 😉
