Easy Homemade Chicken Alfredo

Indulgent, creamy and rich this chicken alfredo is easy to make at home with chicken breasts, fettuccine pasta, heavy cream, garlic, cream cheese, butter and fresh Parmesan.


Chicken breasts Italian seasoning and paprika Salt and pepper Fettuccine noodles Butter, cream cheese and garlic Whipping cream Parmesan cheese

Season chicken


Pound the chicken breast to even thickness. In a small bowl, stir together the Italian seasoning, paprika, salt and pepper. Rub all over the chicken.

Cook chicken


In a large skillet, add chicken and cook 5 minutes on each side. Transfer to a plate, cover and let rest. Slice into 1/4-inch strips when ready to serve with pasta.

Cook fettuccini


Cook fettuccine according to directions, then drain and reserve 1/2 cup pasta water to thin Alfredo sauce as needed.

Make Alfredo sauce


Simmer half and half and butter for 7 to 10 minutes. Whisk constantly until the mixture has reduced and thickened. Stir in the Parmesan and seasonings.

Toss together


Add the chicken strips and cooked fettuccine into the Alfredo sauce and toss until well coated. Let rest for a few minutes, then serve while hot!


Extra veggies. You can add steamed broccoli florets or sliced mushrooms to the sauce as well if you prefer.
