Dutch Apple Pie

Pie crust

Roll out the pie crust and press into pie pan. Place in fridge until ready to chill.

Apple filling

Combine sugar, flour, and apple pie spice. Add apples and toss lightly. Let sit 5 minutes.

Crumb topping

Mix together flour, butter, sugar, and apple spice with fingers or a fork until crumbly.

Assemble

Add apples over pie crust, then sprinkle crumb topping on top.

Bake

Bake until the apples are fork tender and the topping is golden brown. Then let cool completely.

Slice

Slice and serve the pie with vanilla ice cream, if desired.
