Vegetable Oil Milk Eggs Water Vanilla Flour and sugar Baking powder Cinnamon and salt Powdered sugar

Whisk wet and dry ingredients


In a large bowl, whisk milk, eggs, water, and vanilla together. In a separate medium bowl, stir dry ingredients of flour, sugar, baking powder, cinnamon, and salt.

Combine into a batter


Slowly whisk the dry ingredients into the wet ingredients and mix until smooth.

Funnel batter into oil


Add 1 cup batter to large funnel. Holding the funnel above pot with the hot oil, swirl the funnel around in a circular motion to create a 6-7 inch round cake.

Fry both sides


Fry one side of the funnel cake for 1 minute. Carefully flip it over and fry for another minute until both sides are golden brown.

Cool and drain


Remove funnel cake from oil and transfer to a paper towel lined baking sheet to drain excess liquid. Repeat frying with remaining batter.



Enjoy warm sprinkled with powdered sugar or any of your favorite toppings.

Easy Tips

– Use a candy thermometer to make sure the oil stays at 375°F. -– Keep moving the funnel around in swirls. If you don’t, you risk having clumps of batter in one area
