Preheat the oven to 350°F. Line two baking sheets with parchment paper and prepare ingredients.

In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, baking powder and salt.

Mix the flour mixture with the wet ingredients, then fold in the chocolate chips.

Scoop the dough into 1-inch balls and bake for 10 minutes. Then remove from oven and let cool.

Make Frosting

While the cookies cool, prepare the coconut pecan frosting on the stove.

Spread the frosting over the tops of the cooled cookies.
