Bacon wrapped asparagus is the side dish that disappears first every single time. Crispy bacon, tender roasted spears, and only 20 minutes start to finish.
Ingredients
12fresh asparagus spears
6pieces bacon(thinly sliced)
S&P to taste
Instructions
Preheat the oven to 400°F.
Cut the bacon in half, down the middle to create 12 strips. Then wrap the bacon around the spears. Place onto the pan with the bacon ends on the bottom. Salt and pepper.
Bake for 20 minutes, or until crisp.
Notes
Tip: If you use fully cooked bacon (I like the Costco kind), it will get crispier.Variations:
Mix together 2 Tablespoons of balsamic vinegar and 1 Tablespoon of brown sugar and brush onto the bacon before baking.
Store any leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days. Reheat in the oven or air fryer at 375°F for a few minutes to get the bacon crispy again. The microwave works in a pinch but the bacon will lose its crunch.
