These baked pears are an easy, cozy treat made with butter, brown sugar, and cinnamon. They bake up soft, tender and caramelized and can be served for breakfast or dessert!
Ingredients
4large pears
2 ½Tablespoonssalted butter
2 ½Tablespoonslight brown sugar
½teaspoonground cinnamon
For serving: Vanilla ice cream, whipped cream or greek yogurt; candied nuts; caramel sauce
Instructions
Preheat and prepare: Preheat oven to 375°F and spray oven safe pan with nonstick cooking spray.
Prepare pears: Slice pears in half. Use a cookie scoop or melon baller to remove the seeds from the core. Place in the pan. Place 1 teaspoon of butter in the middle of each pear.
Add brown sugar: in a small bowl, combine 8 teaspoons brown sugar and 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon. Sprinkle 1 teaspoon over each pear.
Bake: Bake 15-20 minutes, or until golden and soft. Add desired toppings.
Notes
For a lighter option, use Greek yogurt or frozen yogurt with granola, in place of ice cream.
