This broccoli cheese casserole recipe made with a creamy cheese sauce and a Ritz cracker topping is both easy to make and a crowd-pleasing side dish!
Ingredients
30ouncesfrozen broccoli, thawed and drained
1egg
10.5 ouncescream of mushroom soup(one can)
½cupmayonnaise
½teaspoonpepper
1teaspoongarlic powder
½teaspoononion powder
2cupsgrated cheddar cheese
1 ½cupscrushed butter crackers
¼cupmelted butter
Instructions
Prepare oven and dish: Preheat oven to 350°F and coat a 9x13 inch baking dish with non-stick cooking spray.
Make sauce: In a large bowl, mix together 1 egg, 1 can cream of mushroom soup, 1/2 cup mayonnaise, 1/2 teaspoon pepper, 1 teaspoon garlic powder, and 1/2 teaspoon onion powder until smooth. Add 2 cups shredded cheese and stir well.
Add broccoli: Add broccoli to the cheese sauce and mix until coated.
Make the crumb topping: In a small bowl, stir together the 1 1/2 cups butter cracker crumbs and the 1/4 cup melted butter until well mixed.
Add to the pan: Pour the broccoli mixture into the pan and evenly top with the buttery crackers.
Bake: Bake for 40 minutes.
