Rich, gooey, and packed with chocolate cherry flavor, this chocolate cherry dump cake is made with only 4 ingredients and minimal prep. It's a quick and easy indulgent dessert!
Preheat the oven to 350°F and grease the bottom of a 9x13" pan. Pour 2 cans cherry pie filling into the bottom of the pan.
Dump the box of cake mix over the fruit. Sprinkle with chocolate chips. Then pour 12 Tablespoons melted butter evenly over the top.
Bake for 35-45 minutes or until golden brown and bubbly. Remove from oven and allow to sit 15 minutes minutes before serving.
Serve with vanilla ice cream or whipped cream.
Notes
Crockpot method: Pour the fruit in the bottom of the crockpot. Dump the cake mix on top and add the sliced butter. Cook on low for 3-4 hours or on high for 2-3 hours. Storage: Store in a covered container in the refrigerator up to 3 days.
