This easy yellow rice is cooked on the stovetop with chicken broth and turmeric for a fluffy, flavorful side dish recipe that elevates any meal and is ready in only 25 minutes!
Brown rice: In a small saucepan, add 1 cup rice and 1 Tablespoon oil. Cook on medium high for 1 minute.
Boil: Add 1 1/2 cups chicken broth, 1 teaspoon turmeric, 1/2 teaspoon salt and bring to a boil.
Simmer: Cover with tight fitting lid and simmer for 20 - 25 minutes. Fluff with a fork before serving.
Notes
Store leftovers in the fridge for 3-5 days. To reheat, add a splash of water and microwave in 15 second increments, fluffing with a fork in between. Add the moisture will make it fluffy again. Try these other cooking methods:
