This haystacks recipe is an easy no-bake cookie made with butterscotch chips, peanut butter and chow mein noodles! This vintage treat is a favorite with sweet and salty taste.
Ingredients
1cupbutterscotch chips
½cuppeanut butter
2 cupschow mein noodles
Instructions
Combine: In a medium sized, microwave safe bowl, add 1 cup butterscotch chips and 1/2 cup peanut butter.
Microwave on 50% power for 1 minute, then stir. Continue microwaving the mixture in 30 second intervals, stirring in between each, until it is smooth.
Stir: Add 2 cups chow mein noodles and stir until completely coated.
Drop: Drop the mixture onto parchment paper to form 2-2.5 inch piles. Let them cool until the butterscotch is fully hardened.
