With only 4 ingredients, these no-bake chocolate covered strawberry turkeys are a great way to have the kids help in the kitchen! Cutest Thanksgiving treat.
8ouncesgood quality milk or dark chocolate or melting wafers, chopped
Optional: white chocolate dip, candy eyes
Instructions
Line a baking sheet or the counter with parchment or wax paper. Make sure your strawberries are washed and completely dry before beginning (any water will ruin them). I like to leave them on paper towels for a couple hours after washing.
Stick the marshmallow into the broken side of the pretzel. Repeat with remaining marshmallows and pretzels to create the turkey legs.
In a microwave-safe bowl, melt the milk chocolate at 50% power for 30 second intervals, stirring in between. When chocolate is almost melted, remove from microwave and stir until completely melted and smooth.
Line a baking sheet with parchment paper. Dip the top of the marshmallow into the melted chocolate. Stick to the side of a strawberry and hold 30 seconds, or until it adheres. Repeat with the other side and all the remaining legs. Place in the fridge for 5 minutes to harden.
Holding the strawberries by the stem, dip into the chocolate, turning to coat the entire strawberry and the legs. Let the chocolate drip for a moment before transferring to the baking sheet. Repeat with remaining strawberries. Chill 5 to 10 minutes, or until the chocolate has hardened.
Refrigerate until firm. Store strawberries in the refrigerator.
Notes
Tip: Wash your strawberries the day before so they have time to completely dry.White chocolate dip:Melt 2 ounces white chocolate according to the same directions as the milk chocolate. Holding the strawberries by the stem, gently dip the bottoms of each leg (marshmallow part) into the white chocolate to make the turkey's feet.
