Make this year's Halloween party centerpiece a puking pumpkin with guacamole! It's such a fun and festive way to serve an appetizer and use your Jack-o-Lantern.
Peel avocados. Slice 3 avocados in half and remove the pit. Using a spoon, scoop the avocado from the peel and place in a large bowl.
Add remaining ingredients. Stir in the lime juice until. Add 2 Tablespoons salsa, 1/4 cup onion, 1 clove garlic, 1/4 cup cilantro, 1/2 teaspoon salt, and pepper. Mash with a fork until you reach desired consistency.
Assemble. Place the carved pumpkin on a rectangle plate. Spoon the guacamole coming out of the mouth. Spread tortilla chips on either side.
Notes
Note: Homemade guacamole is best served the first day.Extra mix-in's: For spice, add in a little cumin, chili powder, or chopped jalapenos. Sometimes I add 1 to 2 Tablespoons of cotija or feta cheese for extra flavor. Storage: Avocado pits will keep the guacamole from browning. Add them on top of the guac, then cover tightly with plastic wrap. Store in fridge until ready to eat.
