Apple Cider  Caramels

Sweet, salty and perfectly soft and chewy apple cider caramels that are loaded with fall flavor. This delicious treat is a must-make this season!

Ingredients

Apple cider Heavy whipping cream Cinnamon, nutmeg and cloves Granulated sugar Water Corn syrup Butter Flake salt

Boil cider

In a saucepan, boil apple cider for 20-30 minutes or until it is reduced down to 1/3 cup. Once cooled, combine with 2/3 cup whipping cream and spices.

Dissolve sugar

Combine sugar, 1/3 cup whipping cream, water, and corn syrup over low heat until candy thermometer reaches 230°F

Boil caramel mixture

Whisk in cider mixture. Return pan to heat and cook stirring frequently, until the temperature reaches 244°F. Cook two more minutes.

Pour into pan

Pour caramel into parchment lined prepared pan. Let the mixture cool completely at room temperature or in the refrigerator.

Serve

Once cooled, cut the caramels into squares or rectangles and wrap each caramel in wax paper.

Storage

Store in an airtight container or in the refrigerator for up to 3 weeks.
