Easy  Cake Pops

Easy cake pops made with cake mix, frosting and then covered in a sweet chocolate coating. The perfect bite-sized party treat or favor for any occasion!

Ingredients

Cake mix Frosting Chocolate Melting Wafers Sprinkles Cake Pop Sticks

Make Cake

Make cake, allow to cool and then crumble in a large bowl.

Mix with frosting

Add a few spoonful of frosting and use your hands to combine. The dough should hold together if squeezed. If it’s still crumbly, stir in a little more frosting.

Scoop

Scoop out the mixture with a medium cookie scoop (about 1 1/2 Tablespoons) and roll into a ball. Repeat until you’ve used all of the mixture.

Dip the stick

Melt a few chocolate wafers. Then dip the end of the cake pop stick into the melted chocolate and push that same end into the cake ball.

Coat in chocoalte

Melt dark and white chocolate in separate bowls. Dip cake balls into melted chocolate, to fully coat. Tap stick on the side of the dish to remove excess.

Decorate

Add sprinkles then push cake pop stick into a styrofoam block or use a glass filled with rice to hold them upright. The chocolate will be set in about an hour.
