Broken Glass Jello
With its jewel-like cubes suspended in a creamy base, stained glass jello is a retro dessert that is not only fun to make, but to look at, and eat, too. Made similarly to my rainbow jello, it’s a bright no-bake treat that is perfect for all kinds of occasions!
Also called broken glass jello, it combines fruity flavors with a smooth, and creamy texture that crowds love. If your a fan of classic desserts like raspberry jello pretzel salad for summer BBQs and potlucks, you’ll love this one too!

Ingredients Notes

- Flavored Jello gelatin: I used blue, orange, red, and green. Swap the colors to match the occasion!
- Unflavored gelatin: This will be used to make the white portion of the glass.
- Sweetened condensed milk: Added to the unflavored gelatin, it gives it a sweet, creamy flavor.
- You’ll also need: Vanilla extract, sugar, and water (both boiling and hot).
How to Make Stained Glass Jello
Prepare the colorful layers by dissolving each flavor of Jello in boiling water, dividing them into small containers so the depth stays about an inch or less.
Refrigerate Jell-O until fully set, then cut into small cubes.

Arrange the cubes randomly in a baking dish, spreading the colors out evenly, and then return to the fridge while you prepare the creamy gelatin.
Dissolve unflavored gelatin in very hot water in a heatproof bowl. Stir in sweetened condensed milk, sugar, and vanilla until smooth, then cool to room temperature.

Once cooled, gently pour the white mixture over the colorful cubes. Refrigerate the dish overnight, or until fully set.
When ready to serve this glass jello recipe, slice it into squares or use cookie cutters for fun shapes. Enjoy!

Rainbow Glass Jello Tips
- Don’t skip the chill time. The jello needs time to set, both the colorful pieces and the broken glass jello as a whole!
- Cool the milk jello. If you pour it over the colorful cubes while it’s hot, it’ll melt the jello.
- Swap the flavors. Use your favorite colors or use whatever suits your party theme.
- Serve immediately. Keep it in the fridge until you’re ready to serve it. It can soften quickly.
