Hi Everyone! Jenny Raulli from Bloom Designs Online back today to share a sweet little fall treat with you. When you think of fall what are the first three words that come to your mind? Leaves, pumpkins and of course, apples! I don’t think there is anything better than a warm cup of spiced apple cider in fall. It is truly comforting. I wanted to spread that feeling, so I put together these Cranberry Apple Cider Mix jars. Get all your ingredients set up in an assembly line and make a bunch of these to pass out to family, friends, hostess, and neighbors over the next few months. The effort will be much appreciated!

Layer in order in a mini mason jar
- 1/4 cup raw sugar
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg
- 1/4 teaspoon ground cloves
- dried cranberries to the top
Download our free tags with direction for making the cranberry apple cider HERE. I printed my tags on kraft paper but you can you white or any light color. Cut the tags into rectangles or use a tag shaped punch to make tags like mine. Please remember that the tags are for personal use only. :)
Hope you enjoy these as much as I do. For more fun fall ideas and free printable visit Bloom Designs on Facebook, Instagram, and Pinterest.
XO,
Jenny

How much cider does each jar make?
Jamielyn Nye
Each jar should make about 8 cups of cider!
Amber
Made this for my neighbors today as a “First day of Fall” gift. Thank you for sharing!
Jamielyn Nye
What a great neighbor you are!
Lynn
How far in advance can you make the Cranberry Apple Cider Mix, making about 30 for my nieces wedding shower in October was wanting to make it in September.
Thanks so much!
Jamielyn Nye
The actual cider mix will last several months, but with the cranberries it won’t last as long. I would probably only make it about a week ahead of time if you are planning on including the cranberries in the jar.
Lynn
Hello,
How far in advance can you make the Cranberry Apple Cider Mix, we are making some for a Bridal shower in October as a thank you gift but wanted to make it in September?
Jamielyn Nye
Hi Lynn! You can make the mix several weeks ahead of time, but I would wait to add the cranberries until a few days before!

How many ounces are the mini Mason jars for Apple Cider Mix recipe?
Jamielyn Nye
4 oz!
Heather Nudo
Hi there. I accidentally made this with pure sugar. Should I start over? Will it affect things or taste different?
Jamielyn Nye
It might taste a little different, but that should be fine! :)
Brandy
Sorry, put the wrong email. Do we add the contents to 8 cups of water or apple cider?
Jamielyn Nye
Hi Brandy! It should be added to apple juice or apple cider for maximum flavor.

How many ounces are the mini Mason jars for Apple Cider Mix recipe?
Jamielyn Nye
I believe they are 4 oz mason jars!
Christina
How far in advance can I prepare these for an event?
Jamielyn
I think you could prepare them a week before with no problems. You could wait to add the cranberries and prepare further in advance than that if you would like. :)

Hi! This is just what I’ve been wanting to add to my Fall themed hostess presents for my baby showers next weekend! Question-how many jars will this recipe fill? I’m needing to make 10 jars and my jars are 8 oz so they will make two batches…
I Heart Naptime
One recipe makes one four-ounce jar. So you’ll want to gather lots of of the ingredients and do an assembly line, I think. And since you are using 8 ounce jars, maybe two two full layers so the recipient can “stop” when she gets to the cranberries.
Let us know how the baby shower goes, love the theme and adding this to it! :)
Jill
Hi there, I love this as a teacher gift idea! What size tag punch do I need to purchase for the tags? Any recommendations? Thank you for those, by the way!
I Heart Naptime
A two by three inch punch should work beautifully – but you can always print the tags slightly smaller or larger to accommodate the size punch you find. :D
Vicki Halford
How is this tag printed without the lines around the text? I plan to punch them with a tag punch like you did. The punch has not come in, yet, but I expect the top line to fall within the punch.
Thank you!
I Heart Naptime
Hi Vicki! If your punch doesn’t line up perfectly in the tags, print the sheet at a higher or lower percentage until you get it where you like it. :)

Tammy,
Do you know how much each jar comes to in measurements. Say if I have to use another container what size should I get. I can’t find these little jars. Also what size are these jars.
Thanks love the idea and really would like to make some.
Barbara

These are 4 ounce jars, so they hold half a cup of ingredients, each. I can find them in the canning section at grocery and hardware stores. :)
Tammy
Is raw sugar a special kind of sugar?
I Heart Naptime
Hi Tammy! Raw sugar is sugar that has not yet had the molasses processed out of it (where as brown sugar is regular white sugar with molasses added to it), so it looks like little brown crystals. “Sugar in the Raw” is a very popular brand, but most grocery stores carry a few different labels of raw sugar. It might also be called “unwashed sugar.”
