Why I Can’t Get Enough of this Boursin Cheese Fig Dip with Pistachios and Hot Honey
This Boursin cheese fig dip is the kind of appetizer you can pull together at the last minute and still have people asking for the recipe. My team went crazy for it on test day. It comes together in minutes, which makes it my go-to when guests are on their way and I need something quick!
This dip has been all over social media for good reason. One bite of the creamy Boursin, sweet fig jam, salty pistachios, and kick of hot honey, and you’ll see why everyone’s making it.
If you love easy entertaining appetizers like my whipped ricotta or bread dipping oil, this one belongs in your back pocket, too.
Ingredients Notes

- Boursin cheese: The creamy, herby base that makes this dip what it is. I use the Garlic & Fine Herbs flavor, but the Fig & Balsamic variety works beautifully too if you want to double down on the fig flavor.
- Fig jam: Adds that sweet, jammy layer that balances the savory cheese. In a pinch, apricot preserves or hot pepper jelly work as a swap.
- Salted pistachios: For crunch and a little salty contrast. Toasted almonds, pecans, or walnuts work if you don’t have pistachios on hand.
- Hot honey: Brings the sweet heat that ties everything together. Mike’s Hot Honey is my go-to, but any brand works.
- Flaky sea salt: A finishing touch that makes every bite pop. Maldon is the classic pick.
How to Make Boursin Fig Dip
Add the pistachios to a small dry skillet over medium heat. Stir often and toast for 2 to 3 minutes, until fragrant. Let them cool slightly before chopping.
Place the Boursin cheese on a shallow serving plate or small dish and spread it into an even layer with the back of a spoon.

Spoon the fig jam over the top of the cheese and gently spread it to cover. Next, sprinkle the toasted pistachios evenly over the fig layer.
Drizzle lightly with hot honey, sprinkle with flaky sea salt, and serve immediately.

Recipe Tips
- Let the Boursin come to room temperature. Take it out of the fridge 10 to 15 minutes before assembling. It spreads so much easier and gives you that beautiful smooth base.
- Toast the pistachios. It only takes a few minutes, but it brings out their nutty flavor and adds extra crunch. Just keep an eye on them since they can go from toasted to burnt quickly.
- Warm the fig jam slightly for easier spreading. If your fig jam is thick or has been in the fridge, give it a quick 10-second zap in the microwave so it spreads smoothly over the Boursin without tearing it up.
- Double the recipe for a crowd. This dip disappears fast. If you’re serving more than 4 to 6 people, plan on doubling it and using a larger platter.
What to Serve with Boursin Cheese Fig Dip
The best part about this viral Boursin dip is how flexible it is. Pile it onto a board with whatever you have on hand and call it done. Here are a few of my favorite ways to serve it:
- As part of a charcuterie board: This dip is a showstopper on a cheese or charcuterie platter alongside cured meats, olives, nuts, and fresh fruit.
- Crackers: A sturdy water cracker or seeded cracker holds up best without breaking
- Fruit and nut crisps: Thin, toasted crackers with dried cranberries, raisins, or seeds baked in. They add a slightly sweet crunch that pairs perfectly with the Boursin cheese dip.
- Crostini: Toasted little rounds of bread are perfect for scooping up every last bit.
- Sliced French baguette: Soft on the inside, crisp on the outside, and ideal for piling on a generous scoop.
- Fresh fruit: Sliced pears and apples add a crisp, juicy bite that pairs beautifully with the creamy cheese and sweet fig jam.

I love to serve these other easy appetizers when entertaining: mezze platter, Italian antipasto platter and bruschetta Caprese.
