Homemade Snickers recipe & gift idea

You guys are in for a real treat today! I’m sharing the most delicious recipe for Homemade Snickers. This recipe is simply AMAZING! I’m not going to tell you how many I ate. ;)

These bad boys have now passed up my favorite no-bake dessert: Homemade Reeses. So what makes these homemade snickers my favorite? Well it combines my two favorite food groups… caramel and chocolate! Then just imagine the most delicious nougat filling which combines butter, sugar, marshmallow fluff AND peanut butter. Seriously. Can’t get enough!

The best part about these Homemade Snickers is they are super easy to make. Don’t let all those layers scare you. It takes a little bit of patience waiting for the layers to harden, but seriously… SOO worth the wait! Try this recipe, you will thank me later!

Once the bars have cooled, you can literally pull the whole thing out of the pan. Then slowly pull the foil off the sides and ooo and ahh at the delicious caramel.

  • 1 1/2 cups milk chocolate chips
  • 1/4 cup peanut butter
  • Layer #2
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 7oz jar marshmallow fluff
  • 1/4 cup peanut butter
  • 1/4 cup evaporated milk
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

  • 1 14oz bag of caramels
  • 1/4 cup whipping cream
  • Layer #4
  • 1 1/4 cup milk chocolate chips
  • 1/4 cup peanut butter

Instructions

  1. Line a 9x13 pan with foil and spray with non-stick cooking spray.
  2. Start with ingredients for layer #1. Melt chocolate chips and peanut butter in a microwavable bowl on 50% power. Cook for 1 minute and then stir. Cook in 30 second increments until melted.
  3. Pour chocolate into the pan and spread out evenly. Place in the refrigerator for 20 minutes to harden.
  4. Gather Ingredients for layer #2 then melt butter in a medium sized pan over medium heat. Add in sugar and milk, stirring until it has dissolved. Bring to a boil and let cook for 5 minutes, stirring occasionally. Then add in marshmallow fluff, peanut butter and vanilla and stir until smooth. Remove pan from heat and fold in peanuts and then spread the nougat filling on top of the chocolate layer. Allow to cool completely.
  5. Gather ingredients for layer #3 in a small saucepan. Cook caramel and whipped cream over low heat for about 10-15 minutes (or until smooth), stirring occasionally. Pour over nougat layer and allow to cool completely.

Can’t wait to make these!! Tell me something, is marshmallow fluff and marshmallow cream interchangeable?? I have the cream but can’t find the fluff!! Thanks for all you do!

I’ve never seen the marshmallow fluff but I assume they are the same thing! I’m sure it would turn out great with both! :)

So your recipe says ‘fluff’ but you use the cream?? Sorry, sometimes I’m a goof on these types of things. Thanks for your response!

I made these today – delicious! I think (and my husband does too) these are even better than snickers. I used 3T heavy cream instead of 4 (1/4 cup) for the Carmel and it is solid enough to sit out, but still creamy. Have you tried putting a layer of tempered chocolate over the final cut bar? I think it would keep the chocolate from melting on your fingers as you eat them, but then again I really ate them too fast for that to matter this time…
    Thanks for a great recipe!

I’m glad you liked them…these snickers bars are seriously my weakness! I’ve never tried using a layer of tempered chocolate, that is a great idea though! Thanks for your comment Maggie! :)

Whoa! the snickers look yummy and definitely hardcore. It will definitely take a lot of restraint to not eat too many.
