Bacon Dip for Game Day by Courtney of Pizzazzerie for I Heart Naptime
Hi, y’all! I’m so excited to have joined my sweet friend Jamielyn as part of her 2015 Creative Team! Woo-hoo! I am all about parties and entertaining (I blog about these fun things daily over on my site Pizzazzerie.com) so I’m thrilled to be able to share my new favorite football dip just in time for the Super Bowl! This dip comes together in just minutes and is full of flavor. It’s a total crowd-pleaser.
Even if you’re just gathering with your husband and kids to watch the big game, make it a celebration and serve up appetizers in front of the TV and cheer on your favorite team. You can easily make this dip earlier in the day and keep it chilled until kick-off. And if you’re throwing a big football party, then add these football-shaped sliders and football brownies in mason jars to the menu too!
I love how versatile this dip is because it’s super easy to “jazz up” with what you have on hand. The full recipe is below but don’t be afraid to add some pizzazz with a diced red onion, shredded parmesan, or jalapenos for some extra spice. My husband loves all things spicy so I add extra red pepper for lots of heat. Make two batches to serve if you want a “spicy” and “non-spicy”, especially if kids are enjoying it too! I always like to present dips and appetizers with some garnish so I added celery sticks and crumbled bacon on top plus some cute “GO TEAM” flags. You can make your own football flags with your team’s logo or let your kids make them as a fun art project. No matter how you celebrate the Super Bowl, if this dip is on the menu, it’s sure to be a delicious game day!
