You guys are in for a real treat today! I’m sharing the most delicious recipe for Homemade Snickers. This recipe is simply AMAZING! I’m not going to tell you how many I ate. ;)

These bad boys have now passed up my favorite no-bake dessert: Homemade Reeses. So what makes these homemade snickers my favorite? Well it combines my two favorite food groups… caramel and chocolate! Then just imagine the most delicious nougat filling which combines butter, sugar, marshmallow fluff AND peanut butter. Seriously. Can’t get enough!

The best part about these Homemade Snickers is they are super easy to make. Don’t let all those layers scare you. It takes a little bit of patience waiting for the layers to harden, but seriously… SOO worth the wait! Try this recipe, you will thank me later!

Once the bars have cooled, you can literally pull the whole thing out of the pan. Then slowly pull the foil off the sides and ooo and ahh at the delicious caramel.

Homemade Snickers

Ingredients:

*Layer #1:*

  • 1 1/2 cups milk chocolate chips
  • 1/4 cup peanut butter

*Layer #2*

  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 7oz jar marshmallow fluff
  • 1/4 cup peanut butter
  • 1/4 cup evaporated milk
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 cup salted peanuts chopped, roughly chopped

*Layer #3*

  • 1 14oz bag of caramels
  • 1/4 cup whipping cream

*Layer #4*

  • 1 1/4 cup milk chocolate chips
  • 1/4 cup peanut butter

Directions:

Line a 9×13 pan with foil and spray with non-stick cooking spray.
Start with ingredients for layer #1. Melt chocolate chips and peanut butter in a microwavable bowl on 50% power. Cook for 1 minute and then stir. Cook in 30 second increments until melted.
Pour chocolate into the pan and spread out evenly. Place in the refrigerator for 20 minutes to harden.
Gather Ingredients for layer #2 then melt butter in a medium sized pan over medium heat. Add in sugar and milk, stirring until it has dissolved. Bring to a boil and let cook for 5 minutes, stirring occasionally. Then add in marshmallow fluff, peanut butter and vanilla and stir until smooth. Remove pan from heat and fold in peanuts and then spread the nougat filling on top of the chocolate layer. Allow to cool completely.
Gather ingredients for layer #3 in a small saucepan. Cook caramel and whipped cream over low heat for about 10-15 minutes (or until smooth), stirring occasionally. Pour over nougat layer and allow to cool completely.
For layer #4, melt chocolate chips and peanut butter in a microwavable bowl on 50% power. Cook for 1 minute and then stir. Cook in 30 second increments until melted.
Pour chocolate into the pan and spread out evenly.
Plan pan in refrigerator for at least 1-2 hours or until ready to serve. Pop the entire square and then slowly peel away the foil and then cut into bars.

Notes: Can wrap bars in wax paper and store in the refrigerator.

Wow your friends and neighbors with these delicious Homemade Snickers bars. Wrap them up in wax paper and stamp (I used these stamps) a cute message on the top. You could even place them in a cute little basket and wrap it up with ribbon.

  12. I made these this weekend and brought them to two parties! They were a HUGE hit at both! Everyone kept asking how I made them!! They looked just like yours and tasted incredible! We decided they are the best right out of the fridge…nice and cold! YUM!! We will definitely be making these again and again, thanks for the recipe!!! :)

  13. I made these today – delicious! I think (and my husband does too) these are even better than snickers. I used 3T heavy cream instead of 4 (1/4 cup) for the Carmel and it is solid enough to sit out, but still creamy. Have you tried putting a layer of tempered chocolate over the final cut bar? I think it would keep the chocolate from melting on your fingers as you eat them, but then again I really ate them too fast for that to matter this time…

  20. Hi! These look amazing!! I was wondering if you whip the cream before cooking it in a sauce pan with the caramel?? The recipie list says “whipping cream” but the instructions say whipped… so I just wanted to make sure!!

  26. I have a nut allergy so I made these with SunButter sunflower butter — and I subbed sunflower seeds for the chopped peanuts — they turned out DELICIOUS! Cut them into roughly 2×1-inch bars and got four dozen “snickers” out of this recipe. 

  27. I think I’d like to try and make them and layer ingredients in paper cupcake liners using cupcake baking pans instead of making in one large pan and then cutting them into squares. I make coconut chocolate balls and use small candy liners and they turn out perfectly and look so professional.

  28. I’m usually not a huge fan of overwhelming peanut butter in
    desserts. I know snickers bars have peanuts in them but I didn’t
     think it had actual Peanut butter. What do you think th outcome
     would be if I omitted the peanut butter? 

    • If you omitted the peanut butter all together, it may not hold its shape as well. Otherwise, it should still be delicious! :)
