Mango Smoothie Ingredients

Showing how to make a mango smoothie.
  • Mangoes: I love the convenience of using frozen mango, but fresh mango works, too.
  • Banana: You will need only 1/2 of a frozen banana.
  • Milk: Use dairy or non-dairy milk like almond milk, oat milk or soy milk . Coconut water or coconut milk add a pina colada smoothie flavor.
  • Yogurt: I prefer plain or vanilla Greek yogurt which adds the perfect tangy flavor and thick creamy texture, but any yogurt or dairy-free yogurt works.
  • Sweetener: I love a touch of honey added to the mango smoothie, but you can omit it.

Substitutions and Variations

  • Fruit: Make a strawberry mango smoothie with sliced berries or make a pineapple smoothie or peach smoothie.
  • Veggies: Add a handful of spinach or kale.
  • Vegan or dairy-free: To make this smoothie vegan, use a dairy free milk or orange juice, vegan yogurt and skip the honey.
  • Smoothie bowl: Just as easy but spoonable, this mango smoothie bowl is great for topping with cashews, fresh fruit and chia seeds!

How to Make a Mango Smoothie

Place the frozen mango, frozen banana, milk, yogurt and the honey in your blender.

Blend until smooth. Add more liquid if needed to thin it out. Add ice cubes if needed for a thicker consistency.

Smoothie Storage Instructions

Most smoothies are best to enjoy immediately. If you need to store leftover mango smoothie, I like to pour the smoothie into an popsicle tray or ice cube tray and freeze for later. Then you can pop out and eat or add to another smoothie.
